The sky that spread across the tiny country of Hyrule was rather grey. Ithad not rained, but the threat of a nasty storm was imminent. Inside thetowering Hyrule Castle, one of the King's advisors watched the sky from hischamber window. There was a frown on the man's wan, gaunt face. Thesestorms were always so dreadful, so very dreadful--Why, the moat would quitepossibly get flooded, and the gardens get far too much water (he couldn'tstand to see the roses drenched), and that would be simply--Oh, dear!Adan's crystalline eyes grew wide as he saw a pristine white figure gallopacross the field that his window overlooked--His horse! Adan whimperedaudibly, and rushed out the door to fetch his horse.Breathless, the tall young man finally approached the field. The sky haddarkened visibly, and Adan could feel the first mists of rain on hisshoulders."Mali!" he called the name of his fine steed with fervor. His face fellsomewhat."The stupid creature's disappeared." He yelled for the horse oncemore, as thunder crashed overhead. Luckily, it was also at that moment thatAdan swore he saw Mali towards a small grove of trees. Hesighed, exasperated, and took off for the grove.Adan ran as fast as his frail body could push itself, through the nowpounding rain. sadly, Adan was not a graceful man, and he failed to see arock under his feet. He promptly tripped over the stone, and fell to hisfeet. It was then that his Hylian instincts told him something was -not-right at all. He wearily, almost fearfully, lifted his head from the soakedgrass. The thunder's sound changed, it seemed, to a laugh of sorts. Part ofAdan fancied he was simply hearing things, but part of him knew better. Thelaugh, or whatever it might have been, pierced Adan's mind bitterly. Heremembered that laugh. It was the laugh of the traitor, that awful Ganon!Adan felt his stomach turn and his vision grow blurry. Unbeknownst to him,a misty, black vapor had materialized from the torrent of rain, andsurrounded him. The young man lost consciousness completely for what was aninterminable amount of time to him, when in fact, it was merely a moment orso. There was a bright, sharp flash of lightening, and he got to his feet.If anyone had been present, they would have seen Adan's countenance uponrising to his full height. For a brief moment after standing, his normallyinnocent eyes were red; a glowing, malicious red. His face was twisted, contorted into some evil visage. Ganon's dark laugh issued forth from hislips, and he ran his hands over his face. Quickly, as though nothing hadhappened, Adan's face returned to its normal docile expression. "Well, now, what happened to that horse?" he wondered aloud. The faintremnants of Ganon's flippant sneer were still on his lips.Adan, one of the King's most trusted, beloved advisors had been infusedwith the power and spirit of Ganondorf Dragmire, the King of Evil.*********A bit later, Adan strolled through the gates to Hyrule Castle, looking asnormal as he ever had, save for being soaking wet. He was not in control ofhis own body, though: Ganon was. And there was some small part of Adan thatstill remained conscious, and was screaming to get out. That was givingGanon a headache.'Foolish King . . .' he thought to himself, rubbing his temples sorely.'Whydid he make his head advisor some weak, sickly twig of a man? Oh, well . ......' He roughly handed Mali to one of the stable hands.'The new physicalcondition I've inherited doesn't matter; soon, I'll avenge myself againstthis country, and I'll be in control . . .Just as I should be. The Triforceshould be mine. I am--I was--the most powerful man in the world--'His reverie was interrupted when he nearly ran into Impa just inside thecastle's Main Hall."Greetings, Lord Adan." the statuesque Shiekah woman said, regarding himwith her hawkish, intense gaze."This is a powerful storm the goddesses havesent for us, is it not?"Adan nodded, brushing a limp strand of wet, brown hair out of hisface."Most certainly, lady! I sense, though, that it will end beforenightfall." In fact, he did not "sense" anything, but it seemed like a goodthing to say to Impa. Ganon simply inhabited Adan's body, and did notpossess the advisor's unique powers, unfortunately. Luckily, Ganon retainedhis own sorceries and dark ambitions.Impa nodded gravely, and observed the tall, thin fellow in front of heronce more. "It seems that, perhaps, you have been out in the tempest fortoo long. The rain has soaked you. Why were you out?" The question soundedslightly harsh, as all of Impa's words did. It was not meant tooffend, rather it was her natural demeanor."Why, Mali, my stallion had run away right as the storm began. He was anexpensive horse, and I should hate to lose him.""Indeed, Mali is a fine steed. Thank Farore for the powerful horses shesends to our world. Though I must admit, while LonLon Ranch is a verybefitting place to buy horses, as you did, the Gerudos raise the best."At the mention of that race, Ganon mentally smirked. Outward, though, through Adan's exterior, he simply nodded his head."The Gerudos are anexceptionally adept race, I believe."As Adan spoke those words, Impa's white brows narrowed. "But, Lord Adan,I've heard you say how detestable you thought the Gerudos were.""Oh!" The advisor laughed nervously."Well, you know, I change my mindsometimes. I am but a man, with opinions that shift with the winds."The nursemaid Impa nodded silently at his words, but her suspicion was nowpiqued. He had not sounded right from the beginning of the conversation, once she thought of it, nor was the Head Advisor ever one to contradicthimself. She would say nothing, yet; however, she -would- keep her eye onthe man. He could be a spy, or assassin, ro something of the sort, andsecurity of the castle was of utmost importance. "I see." she said at last."Now, if you will excuse me, Lord Adan, I musttake leave of you. There are matters that I must take care of." With that, the Sheikah woman turned on her heel, and left for Hyrule Castle Town.Adan watched her leave, and his gaze quickly grew hard and cold, his eyestwo burning orbs of pure evil. 'That will not happen again.' he murmured tohimself.
