A New Legend

Chapter VII: Chosen Ones

Twinrova, the fused Koume and Kotake looked in satisfaction at the petrified tree, her own handy work. She'd nearly mastered the powers given to her by the Orb of Decay. The sickly green aura faded and she turned to Demoria, and the rest of the counsel. The six were in a realm completely seperate from Hyrule. The sky was blood red, instead of blue, the ground was a pale brown, and beasts never heard of in Hyrule walked the land. Here, Demoria reigned. This was his home, the place of his birth. The Plain of Shadow.

"Tomorrow, at sunset." She said in a vibrating voice, caused by the syncrinized voices of the two sisters.

It was one week after the Orb's awakening. The members of the Counsel of Evil had all but mastered their new powers. The members noticed a change in Twinrova however. She'd become more blood thirsty and constantly muttered about her revenge on the Hero of Time.

"Are you sure?" Agahnim said. "You don't seem quite prepared." The others, except Demoria, nodded in agreement.

"No matter." Twinrova said grinning wickedly. "What I have now will be more than enough to destroy those fools!"

"I think your making a mistake, Sorceress..." Severius said.

"I don't need your approval, Severius!" Twinrova huffed.

"Very well..." Demoria said shaking his head in disappointment. "Do as you please..."

"I intend to..." Twinrova said in defiance before floating off.

"What's wrong with her..." Angata asked.

"Blinded by her power..." Demoria said. "I thought this might happen."

"You think she'll succeed?" Agahnim asked Demoria.

Demoria chuckled slightly.

"No..." He said amused. "She'll deliver one hell of a message though."

"Should we stop her then?" Severius asked.

"No." Demoria said without hesitation. "In the end it wont matter, let her go..."

"Let's think of her as arrow fodder then..." Xavier said, half jokingly.

Link and Zelda awoke to the crying of their daughter. They slowly sat up rubbing the last bits of sleep from their eyes. Link looked at Zelda and smiled.

"I think it's breakfast time..." He said as Zelda rose from the bed.

"Well we can see she has your appetite..." Zelda joked nursing her while nursing Tatyana.

"Hey!" Link said in mock hurt.

"Well you do eat alot."

"Well, it's not like constantly fighting doesn't burn energy..." Link deadpanned, leaning back and resting his head in his hands.

"Sorry." Zelda said as she placed Tatyana back in her crib.

Link wrapped his arms around her waist causing her to gasp in surprise.

"Oh, you will be, Princess..." He said mischeviously.

Link spun her around and gazed into her eyes. He slowly pulled ger close and gave her a long, deep kiss. Zelda sighed pleasently closing her eyes. They broke off slowly and Zelda rested her head on Link's chest.

"I love you, Link..." She sighed, listening to his heartbeat.

"I love you too." Link said stroking her hair.

The two of them sat on the bed, arms wrapped around each other. For once, the hardships of the past year slowly faded from their minds for a time.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Darian woke up slowly. His mind was swimming with questions of the events this past year. He felt a sense of dread. Something was coming, he knew it, something dangerous, evil. His eyes darted to every corner of his room, seeking anything at all which may be out of place. Seeing none he sighed. Everything seemed so perfect, yet something seemed to be waiting, preparing for something he did not know. Above all he feared for his brother and his wife, and daughter. He felt whatever was toying with them now, had their deaths in mind.
A flash crossed his peripheral vision and his eyes followed it to the window leading to his rooms balcony. A white sphere of light floated into his room, resting in the center. It spread into the shape of a slender Hylian woman. Darian stood watching with wide, unblinking eyes. The light slowly dimmed revealing the figure of the woman from the past year. The very same one who lifted his curse.
"You agian..." Darian said, his gaze focused on the strange woman.
"A great evil is coming." The woman said, her tone grave. "Your brother and the Princess may not be enough to stop it."
"What?!" Darian exclaimed.
"You must aid them." The woman explained. "It is time you discovered your own destiny. At sunset, one of six will arrive, one whom your brother has faced before. He, and your Princess are in danger, these six seek to rid Hyrule of the destined ones, you must help them!"
"Link..." Darian whispered.
He now knew the cause of his fears, his brother was indeed in danger. His fathers final wish echoed in the deepest parts of his brain. But what could he do, when he did not even know what the evil force was which sought the end of the Hero and Princess.
"Please tell me..." Darian pleaded. "What can I do?"
"That is why I have come." The woman smiled. "I now give you, your destiny."
The silver haired woman stretched out her right arm and slowly opened her hand. Floating there just above her palm was a mall, inverted, silver triangle. It gave off a devine energy as it floated slowly across to Darian, fading into his chest, and filling him with a pure energy. A warmth came from his left hand. He raised his hand and gazed at the back of his palm. his hand. The shape of a large triangle, formed by four smaller ones appeared on his hand, the image of the Triforce. The center, inverted triangle glowed a brilliant silver.
"How..." Darian whispered gazing at his hand.
"This is the Centerforce of Valor." The woman explained. "The final peice of the Triforce."
"But... I thought there were only three..." Darian said still confused. "Who are you?"
"I am Circe, The Goddess of Valor." Circe replied. "Din, Nayru, and Farore, the three Goddesses you are familiar with, are my mothers in a sense. They created this land before I was born. Thousands of years ago the land was filled with chaos, left over from the creation of this realm. The Goddesses knew they could not hope to stop it all, and so they sought help from the same chaotic land they created. After searching many days they found a young woman, treating the wounds of the innocent people caught in the constant wars which waged constantly across the land. That night, she was visited by the three creaters of Hyrule. 'Young one, would you like to be the one to end this chaos?' they asked her. She was speechless, looking on the forms of the three ancient ones. She nodded, accepting the offer. I was that woman."
"I never knew..." Darian stammered.
"There are few who do, for my duty is to that of the chosen ones." Circe explained. "My role is to guide the ones chosen by the Gods, both my own, and those of my mothers. Therefore, my existance has remained secret, mentioned only in the most secretly kept tales of the Royal Family."
"Then mine and Link's birthmark..." Darian began.
"Was a clue to your destiny." Circe finished.
"So I am..." Darian said realization dawning on him.
"You are my chosen, just as your brother is Farore's chosen, and Zelda is Nayru's." Circe replied.
"Then Ganondorf..." Darian began.
"No, he is not Din's chosen." Circe said before he could finish. "However, because he was the one who touched the Triforce, the peice he most related to bonded to him. Not even Din could stop it."
Circe's face fell at the thought. Darian noticed and stepped forward.
"Are you ok?" He asked concerned.
Circe raised her head, her eyes filled with tears. Darian knew she was reliving an unhappy memory. What it must take to make a goddess cry he wondered.
"Din... She blames herself for what happened to Hyrule that time. She believes she could have prevented it, were she only stronger. It hurts to see my mother in such pain."
"It wasn't her fault." Darian consoled. "She's the Goddess of Power, if she was not strong enough, no amount of strength could have stopped it."
"Thank you." Circe said. "I'm glad there are those who do not blame my Mother for what happened."
"I'm sure no one could blame her, besides, He's gone now." Darian said.
Circe smiled at that, then turned to the balcony from which she entered.
"I must go now..." Circe said. "I will return soon to provide aid, until then, protect your brother and the Princess."
"I will, and thank you." Darian said. Circe smiled.
"No, thank you, I will tell my mother of your words, she must know that none blame her." Circe replied begining to glow white once more.
"Good luck." Darian replied grinning after her.
"And to you as well!" Circe said before disappearing out of the castle walls, and ascending back into the heavens.
Link and Zelda entered the Banquet hall where Malon, Cyrus and the King waited.
"Good morning you two!" Malon chirped happily. Cyrus smiled.
"Morning." Zelda said politely.
Link looked around for a second before speaking up.
"Where's Darian?" He asked.
"Here." called a voice from behind them. Link turned to see Darian walking into the hall.
"What kept you?" Zelda asked
Link immediatly noticed the worried expression in his brother's eyes.
"Are you alright?" Link asked.
"We need to talk." Darian said, his tone dark.
"What's worrying you?" Daphnes asked
"Are any of you familiar with the Goddess of Valor?" Darian asked.
Link, Zelda, and the Kings faces lit up in recongnition. Malon and Cyrus looked confused.
"Goddess of Valor?" Malon asked.
"Circe." Link said.
"You knew?" Darian asked Link.
"After I married Zelda the King told me about her." Link replied. "But how did you know?"
"I think it would be easier to show you." Darian said.
He rose his left hand palm to himself. On the back of his hand was the image the Triforce, the center glowing a brilliant silver.
"So it is true!" The King exclaimed.
"The birthmark..." Link muttered. Darian nodded.
"She gave this to me, along with a message."
"What did she say?" Cyrus asked.
"'At sunset, one of six will arrive, one whom your brother has faced before. He, and your Princess are in danger, these six seek to rid Hyrule of the destined ones, you must help them!'" Darian quoted.
Malon gasped, Link and Zelda looked worried.
"We need to prepare." Link said worried, but unafraid. the rest nodded in agreement.
"Will you three be alright?" Malon asked. Link nodded.
"We'll be ok." Link said. "We have an advantage."
"What do you mean?" Daphnes asked.
"One who I've fought before..." Link said. "If it's someone like that I'll know what to expect."
"Don't get careless in any case." Daphnes advised.
"We won't dad." Zelda said determined.
Link, Darian, Zelda, and Cyrus walked up to their respective rooms to prepare for the coming battle. Links mind returned to what Darian had said.
"One who I've faced before... Who?" He thought.
He cleared his mind of the thought. It wouldn't be long before the attacker arrived, if the Goddess of Valor's words held true. Link sliped his sheath onto his back, slid the Master Sword into it, and hung the mirror sheild onto the hooks on his sheath. Zelda retrieved her bow, and a quicer of arrows. The bow was a beautifully crafted short bow made of fine Hylian Willow, A strong, but very flexable wood, wrapped in gold leaf. They then exited to meet the others at the great hall.
Cyrus and Darian were already there. Cyrus in his knight armor and equipped with his Hylian Sword and Shield, and Darian with Knightfire. It was nearly time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Twinrova floated calmly across Hyrule Field, taking her time to visualize her revenge on the Hero of Time. Would she burn him until his bones were bleached by her fire, or incase him a tomb of ice for eternity. Or mabye she could turn him into a lifeless husk with her new powers. The thoughts caused her to grin wickedly. There was no way the hero would defeat her agian.

Upon the horizon she saw the silhouette of the white walled Hyrule Castle. At this time all the townspeople had returned to their homes. There was no one to alert the Royal Family of her coming. Her revenge would be swift and easy. Calmly she floated across the market square of the town and into the path leading to the castle.

She calmly approached the guard near the gate.

"Halt!" Shouted the gate guard. "What are you, and what is your business at the castle!?"

Twinrova grinned wickedly, forming a sphere of fire in her right hand, and without a word, hurled it at the guard. The guard was struck by the flaming attack and burst into flames, screaming in agony until the flames chared him to a smouldering pile.

"Pathetic man..." She murmured phazing through the gate.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"It's time." Link said.
"Are you sure?" Zelda asked. Link nodded.
"I'd know the feeling anywhere." Link replied, his voice certain.
"We'd better move." Darian said calmly.
"Zelda, take this." Link said, giving her 2 small crystals, one red, one blue.
"Link, this is..." She began.
"Those crystals hold arrow magic of fire, and ice, they'll be useful." He said giving her a soft kiss.
The king looked at Link his expression both serious and concerned.
"I know I can not stop her from fighting with you Link," He began. "But I ask you not as a king, but as a father. Please, protect my daughter."
"I will not let anything happen to your daughter, my wife, Your Majesty." Link said. "I will protect her, and all of Hyrule with everything I have."
The king smiled warmly at his son in law. "Don't you die out there either, My Boy." Daphnes said placing a firm hand on Link's shoulder. "Zelda could never live without you."
"I don't intend to, Dad." Link replied jokingly trying to lighten the mood.
"Let's go. Cyrus said lowering the drawbridge of the castle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The four of them stepped out onto the castle grounds looking around anxiously. They could see nothing but all of them sensed a presense of great evil nearby. Suddenly a wicked laughed echoed through the air. A laugh Link knew all to well.

"So the Hero of Time is here..." A vibrating voice said. "And it appears he brought the Family along as well."

"Show yourself!" Link called, his voice clear and unafraid.

Swirls of fire and ice began to spin around in the center of the grounds slowly condensing and taking a humanoid form. They exploded outward revealing the form of a slender woman with a long crooked nose, golden eyes and olive green skin.

"Twinrova..." Link said darkly.

"Surprised, Hero?" The Sorceress mocked.

"I was... when I smelt you five minutes ago." Link shot back. Zelda tryed to remain serious but couldn't help but giggle.

"Careful, Hero you've no idea what I can do now..." Twinrova said launching a sphere of ice at Link, who simply batted it awat with his sword.

"It seems you haven't lost your skill in this time of peace..." Twinrova remarked.

"I don't care what new skills you think you have, I won't let you do anything to harm this land or it's people." Link said determinedly. "So why don't you just shut up, and let's get on with it, Witch."

"Confidant aren't you." Twinrova stated. "Very well."

Link unsheathed his sword while the rest did the same with their weapons.

"I appear to be out numbered." Twinrova said calmly. "Oh, that's right, I nearly forgot..."

The fused sorceress raised her arms into the air, a pale green aura forming around her. In seconds a dozen ReDeads broke from the ground surrounded by greenish glow.

"Attack his allies, my minions, but leave the hero to me!" Twinrova shouted.

The ReDeads inched forward slowly toward the four of them. Link ran forward toward the sorceress who floated back away from his companions. He raised his sword and slashed at the witch who mearly floated away from the strike. Twinrova raised her left hand and formed another ice sphere, launching it at Link. The Hero of Time raised his mirror shield, absorbing the spell.

"I really hope those ReDeads aren't the only new trick you have..." Link said.

Twinrova merely formed a blast of fire which Link jumped away from.

The magic fire began burning the castle grounds. Link looked over to it annd grinned. He pointed his sheild to the inferno and released the ice spell onto the flames, extinguishing them effortlessly.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zelda, Cyrus and Darian began fighting the ReDeads as Link fought Twinrova near the edge of the upraised castle grounds. Darian cut the arm off of one of them, only to have the arm form into yet another ReDead, as well as the arm of the other reforming. The angered undead creature leanwed back before throwing itself forward shooting a jet of green liquid from it's mouth. Darian watched as the ground began to smoulder under the liquid.
"Careful! These things spit acid!" Darian called to Cyrus and Zelda, who were also having a hard time with the green zombie-like creatures.
Zelda shot an arrow at an approaching ReDead. It stumbled back, but then lunged forward once agian, the arrow slowly being absorbed into it's flesh. Zelda shot a few more arrows to no effect. Cyrus wasn't having much more luck. The dismembered body parts only formed more of the cursed monsters. Not even the decapitation of one had worked.
"We could use a plan any time now!" Cyrus yelled flooring a ReDead which got a little to close with a punch, but not before it struck him in the arm.
"I hope this works." Zelda muttered charging her arrow with the power of fire.
She let the arrow fly, which hit a ReDead between the eyes. The monster screached in pain as the flames engulfed its body. It remained that way for only a few minutes before turning to a pile of ashes. Cyrus and Darian looked in astonishment as the ReDead fell. Zelda then fired an Ice arrow at the next one, freezing it in it's tracks. Darian rushed over and slammed his Shield into the frozen creature, causing it to shatter..
"Fire and Ice!" Zelda yelled to the two swordsmen.
Having found weakness of the creatures, Cyrus channeled Fire magic into his sword, while Darian channeled Ice. They proceded to dispose of the rest of the strange acid spitting creatures.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Well it seems your friends have managed to defeat my little Plague ReDeads..." Twinrova said lazily launching another blast o fire at Link.

"You'll follow them soon!" Link yelled striking the flaming sphere back at the Witch.

The fire struck her causing her to cry out in pain. Link seized his opportunity and attacked, slicing her across the face with the Master Sword, leaving a deep gash. Link smirked at the angered expression on Twinrova's face.

"Fool!" Twinrova shouted. "Now it's time for me to get serious!"

"Where have I heard that before..." Link deadpanned.

Twinrova placed her left hand in front of her, in a fist with two fingers extended. A greenish ball began to form on the tips. She fired the ball, it soared toward Link leaving a trail of power behind it. Link would not be able to move in time

Darian rushed toward his brother as the ball of energy drew closer. A voice in his mind told him if he did not interfere his brother would die. Darian lept foward pushing Link to the ground just in time. The ball of curropted energy flew harmlessly into a tree, petrifying it.

"Don't let that thing hit you if you don't wanna end up like that tree!" Darian said helping his brother to his feet.

The two brothers of the Triforce stood before a raging Twinrova. In her fury the crazed witch fired a beam of fire at the still disoriented warriors. Link saw the searing ray of fire.

"Jump!" He shouted.

Link and Darian both lept in opposite directions as the beam shot between them, scorching Link's arm slightly. The beam hit the ground causing the outer guarden to flare up once agian.

"Zelda, Ice Arrow!" Link shouted knocking another ball of ice into the air where it disappeared.

Zelda, catching on Link's meaning, shot an Ice Arrow at the center of the burning section of the gardens. The fire extinguished, leaving a thin sheat of ice in it's place.

"I will have vengance!!!" yelled Twinrova, now mad with rage.

She formed another sphere of the same strange green energy, larger this time, and pointed it toward the Hero of Time. This time Link was ready, he crouched, holding his sword out, forming a glow of power around the blade. Twinrova released the ball. It soared toward Link at an alarming rate, but Link knew what to do. When the ball came in range he spun on his knee, releasing the energy in a Spin Attack. The ball soared back at Twinrova with an even greater speed than it had when directed towards Link. The fused sisters had no time to react, and were struch in the chest by their own attack.

Twinrova screamed in pain as she herself began to turn to brittle stone. Her olive green skin tured an argent color as she slowly was consumed by the power of her own attack. She then fell silent, falling to the cround and shattering into dust. All that was left of her was fist sized pale green orb. The orb's color began to fade as it's power waned, All that remained of the witch sisters, besides the dust of their body, scattered on the winds.

Link walled over to the strange orb and tapped it with the Master Sword. No response, the orb was silent. Link reached down and cautiously picked up the strange crystal. Zelda and the others walked over to Link, weariness written on their faces.

"What is that, Link?" Zelda asked.

"The source of those new powers, I think." Link said.

"But what is it?" Cyrus asked.

"I don't know." Link admited. "We should find someone who can identify this."

Link winced in pain remembering his burnt shoulder.

"Link, your hurt!" Zelda cried worried.

"It's just a bit of a burn, but yeah I probibly should get it looked at."

"What the hell was that thing?" Darian asked.

"Twinrova..." Link began. "I fought her, or rather, them in the Spirit Temple.

"Them?" Darian asked.

"She is actually the fused form of two sisters, Ganondorf's surrogate mothers." Link explained.

"How were they here if you killed them before?" Cyrus asked.

"Circe said she was one of six right?" Link asked, Darian nodded.

"So I guess one of those other five revived her." Link reasoned.

"Mabye..." Darian agreed.

"Lets not think about it now though." Link said. "We've had a hard fight, I think it's time we relaxed."

"I second that." Zelda said giving Link a small kiss.

"What was that for?" Link asked grinning at his loving wife.

"No reason, I'm just glad your ok." She replied smiling back at him.

"That reminds me." Link said. "Thanks for getting me away from that blast Darian."

"What are brothers for?" Darian said smirking.

"What about the town?" Zelda said worriedly.

"I doubt Twinrova attacked it, or we'd have heard before hand she was here." Link said. "Still it would probibly be best to find out if everything is okay."

The four of them walked down the sloped path leading to the gate that seperated Hyrule castle from the Market. Upon their arrival at the gate, they discovered the body of the guard Twinrova killed. Link walked over to the charred body and checked for a pulse.

"Dead..." He said shaking his head. "He was to young to deserve this..."

Cyrus placed a reassuring hand on Link's shoulder.

"He will receive a hero's burial." Zelda consoled. "Even with his life threatened he guarded this castle until the end. His sacrifice will not be overlooked."

"Your right..." Link said, still sorrowful of the young life vut short.

"We'd better get inside." Cyrus said glancing up at the sky, it was already well into the night though none of them noticed until now.

The rest nodded, and they walked triumphantly back into the halls of Hyrule Castle.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Daphnes and Malon approached the hero's expectantly with the baby, Tatyana in Malon's arms. She handed the baby to Zelda who smiled down at her daughter lovingly, Link at her side.
"What in Din's name happened out there?" Daphnes asked intrested, breaking the two from their thoughts.
"It was Twinrova." Link said. The King's eyes widened in shock.
"What!? How?" He exclaimed.
"Someone revived her. She had new skills this time though," Link began. "And we found this."
Link handed the black orb to the King. He looked over it in wonder.
"Intresting... Where did you find this?"
"It was appearently inside of her..." Zelda said.
"It looks like an ordinary obsidian orb, but if it was the source of her power..." Link began. The king nodded in understanding.
"I shall have Ori study this tomorrow." Daphnes said placing the orb in a small sack.
Ori was Hyrule Castles, High Seer. He was adept at identifying artifacts, or sensing magical power. He was getting on in years at four hundred, twenty one, he had been the king's and his father's most trusted advisor for years. His age only broadened his knowledge, having been alive when many of these artifacts were recorded.
"Thanks Dad." Zelda said.
"I think you four deserve a rest." The king said with a grin. "You've had a hard day, you must be tired."
The four heros nodded in agreement, deciding It would be best for them to rest for the night.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Link and Zelda sat upon their bed, Tatyana in Zelda's arms. The two future rulers of Hyrule watched at their smiling daughter lovingly.

"I now have another reason to protect this land..." Link said gazing at his daughters smiling face.

Tatyana reached up toward Link and griped the sleive of his tunic. The hero smiled and kissed his daughter on the forehead. Zelda looked at her husband and smiled at him warmly.

"You are a great father, you know that?" She asked.

Link kissed Zelda softly. "And you are the most perfect wife, and mother anyone could ask for."

"Link..." Zelda murmured softly, embarressed.

"It's true." Link said kissing her agian.

"Thank you, Link." Zelda said smiling sweetly.

"I don't care what else is out there." Link said thinking of the days events. "I've made a an oath to protect this land, and my family. I'll never let anything like what happened last time occur agian." Zelda kissed him on the cheek.

"Not alone, you wont." She she said grinning.

"I know..." Link said confidantly. "You know Zelda, I'm thankful you wish to help me, even given how dangerous it is."

"This is my Kingdom to Link, and besides, like I said before..." She began.

"You don't want me to bare the burden alone anymore." Link finished.

Zelda placed Tatyana back into her crib where she quickly fell asleep, then climbed into be beside Link.

"Do you remember... what happened after that?" Zelda asked slowly.

"That was the night we..." Link gazed over at his daughter. "That was the day the goddesses blessed us with a new life."

"Link..." Zelda murmured softly wrapping her arms around him.

"I love you more than anything Zel." Link said.

"I second that..." Zelda smiled kissing him passionatly.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The remaining members of the Counsel of Evil discussed the loss of the Twinrova sisters within their chamber. Two of their members were now dead, and the power had left part of the orb.
"I did not expect them to defeat her so easily..." Demoria mused.
"You said she would fall anyway, Demoria." Xavier said, not knowing what all the tension was about.
"Yes, but she should have done more than just a few scratches and minor damage to them..." Agahnim replied.
"Is another force working agianst us?" Angata asked.
"I do not know, now we must decide who will succeed were Twinrova failed." Demoria said.
"Perhaps... I will be the Heros' next challange..." Severius said speaking up.
"Very well." Demoria stated. "Your power is not without question Severius, however do beware. They have the aid of the heavens at their side. Do not underestimate them as Twinrova did."
"I will be especially careful." Severius said sencerily.
"We'll leave it to you then, Lich." Agahnim said in his regal tone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Author's Note: Ok so how was that one? Found out the identity of the Silver Sorceress this time. Who guess at that one? I liked the idea of the center Triforce peice being a different color than the rest, that way it would look like it's supposed to instead of just a huge golden triangle. I also made a story behind Circe to explain that, which brings me to my next point.

I've always liked Mythology and that kinda thing, and the name Circe from the story "Odysseus" always struck me as a damn good name for a goddess. So that's where I got the name.

Another thing about this: I made her the Goddess of Valor, and to make sure I wouldn't mess up something I looked up the definition of the word Valor, and found it was VERY closely related to Courage. In that sense, it worked perfectly, because Link and Darian are brothers. I originally hadn't had that planned, but it's intresting how it worked out!

Twinrova was a pretty epic fight, but she didn't do nearly as much damage as she could have, were she to have kept her power in check. I like to think this chapter delivers a pretty powerful moral. That being, power not controlled will eventually lead it's weilder to ruin. Twinrova was so bent on getting revenge she chose not to master her powers fully, and as such the very power she hoped to use to exact her revenge ended up destroying her, symbolized by Link's knocking her attack right back at her.
