"Now get to bed, it was nothing. Dreams don't always necessarily mean anything, Zel, get to sleep. After getting married tonight, you should be really tired. So just forget about the dream," Link said, snuggling into his new wife. It had been a year since they had seen Ganon, after fighting him, and Link and Aaron had married Zelda and Malon, respectively. Malon had gotten pregnant and had a child, whom they had named Michael. Zelda was now trying to forget about a dream she had just been having, in which someone had just about killed Link, and he looked a lot like, well, Link! But then four, well, boys, came and saved the day. Boys, imagine that, saving the Hero of Time! Zelda tried to go back to sleep, but she just couldn't. Link was wrong about this, she was sure it meant something, but what? The next morning, she told Link of her plan. "Link, I was thinking during the night, and I think I'm going to search for those faces I saw in my dream," she said. "Zel, I don't think that's possible, and you know it!" Link said. "Well, they don't necessarily have to be in this realm!" Zelda countered. "You aren't thinking of searching that place, are you?" Link asked. "Why, yes I am!" she said. "Not Earth, that's a....I don't know, I just can't think of Hyrule as being suitable for people of their character! They're immoral, they're stupid, they're slow-witted, they're just as good as a bunch of Ganon's soldiers! I mean, come on!" Link said. "There are some good people there, and you know it! Besides, Aaron's a human!" Zelda said. "All right, I believe you! If it's what you say, then it's probably true!" Link said, raising his hands and smiling. "What's so funny?" Zelda asked. "Oh, nothing. I think there's a little bit of a ruckus downstairs, I'd better go check!" Link said, walking out of the room. "Well, good luck, Aaron went into a fit after Malon told him to-never mind!" Zelda muttered as Link slammed the door behind him. Still hasn't gotten over that old door-slamming habit, she thought. Link walked downstairs. "ARRRRRRGH!" came the cry from somewhere around the hall. Link looked around as he touched the floor. Aaron was pacing around with another man, perhaps fifty, who was trying to calm him down. "Look, Aaron, this is nothing, all right, she just got mad and told you to shut up or ship out!" the man said. "Mallard, you're wrong about this, all right? I'm sure there's something up! I mean, your wife tells you to shut up or ship out! What does that tell you? I think Ganon is up to some of his old tricks again! Mind-control, transformation, l-" Aaron was about to say more but Link interrupted him. "That thing last night, that was weird! But transformation? He never did that!" Aaron looked at him curiously. "Mind-control he did do! He's done it on you, Link, he's done it on Zelda, he's-" "Now hold on! That wasn't mind-control, that was something in a whole different class!" Link said. "For Zelda, maybe, but what the heck, it was evil!" Aaron retorted. "Who's this with you?" Link asked. "Oh, him? He's Mallard Duckman, we're best friends, best buddies, best pals, best-" "Okay, I get the point! But does this mean our A-class relationship is over?" Link asked, not seriously. "Of course not! This means we can all be best friends, best bu-" "Yeah, we get it! Oh, man, that shipment of food they loaded in last night is still settling in my stomach!" Mallard said, patting his stomach and sighing happily. "Food is all he thinks about!" Aaron said. "FOOD, BABY!" Mallard yelled, as if to prove the point. Link smiled and shook his head. "Hey, I think there's someone at the gate! Big commotion!" Aaron said, using his superior hearing, which was better than most Hylian's, to hear a fight going on outside. Aaron rushed out the door. "Stay here, Link!" he called as he ran out. When he came into the gate area, he saw a young man his age struggling with a guard, make that two. Aaron drew his sword and went up to the man, taking him by the collar. The person looked very surprised, and Aaron frowned as he saw an exact replica of Link. "Excuse me, sir, but I'm here to see Link," he said. Aaron scowled. "Excuse me, but if you aren't Link, I'm a monkey's uncle! Wait a minute, this is a dumb trick, right? That's a really nice mask there!" he said, attempting to pull it off. The man pulled back. "Mister, I'm his twin brother, and I've got some really important business with him!" he said. Aaron narrowed his eyes and went back inside. "Link, you've got a twin brother here to see you!" he called. Link guffawed. "Aaron, that's funny, who is it really?" Link asked. "Your twin brother here to see you!" Aaron insisted. Link stopped laughing and got up and walked out the door, followed by Mallard. Link's jaw dropped as he came out. "If that's not Link, I'm a Moblin's uncle!" Mallard said. "That's what I said!" Aaron shouted. "Link, do you remember me?" the man said. "Nakil, it's you! It's really you!" Link said as he went up to the person and hugged him. "Link, it's so good to see you!" his brother named Nakil said. "How did you survive that attack?" Link asked. "The man didn't notice me! It's strange how fate works!" Nakil said. Link nodded. "Well, I'd like to introduce you to Aaron Homden, right here, and Mallard Duckman, right here, and I'd like you to meet my new wife, Zelda. If she's around, of course! I don't think she is!" Link said. A bright cloud of magic blew everyone off their feet all of a sudden. A female voice sounded. "Zelda! What did you do?" Impa called, groping through the cloud of magic in Zelda's tower that she now shared with Link. "Uhhhhhhhhh, just some experimenting!" she said. Impa stared sternly. "What have we told you about all this magic stuff?" she said. Zelda frowned. "I'm not a kid anymore, I'm married! Besides, this is so exciting!" she said. "But what will-" "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON UP THERE?!" Aaron yelled from the gate. Impa gave Zelda a look and walked out. Zelda continued to putter away, mixing different chemicals to see what would be conjured up. Suddenly a small, lonely-looking puppy crawled out from under the bed. "Hey, little guy, where did you come from?" Zelda wondered. She reached out to pick it up. The puppy turned into Ganon. "How was that?" he asked. Zelda screamed. Link heard the scream and got his hookshot out. He shot into Zelda's room. "You! I thought you were back in the Dark World!" Link gasped. "Well, guess what? I'm not!" Ganon laughed. He looked out at Nakil down at the gate. Nakil nodded to him and started to talk to Aaron. Ganon swung at Zelda, who ducked and swatted at him with a towel. Ganon laughed. "You think that will HURT me? HA HAA HA!" he snickered. Aaron didn't even realize what was going on until he heard Ganon. "'Scuse me, Nakil, gotta save the day!" he said. Nakil grabbed him and socked him in the nose. Despite the blood, Aaron punched back and took Nakil out. He then muttered something and rushed up to help Link. As he got up there, a furious battle was erupting. Link was aiming for the chest of Ganon, but he couldn't reach it, as Ganon had grabbed Zelda and was holding her as a shield. Aaron whipped out his bow and fired, hitting Ganon square in the side. Ganon collapsed. "All right, what the darn heck is going on here?" Aaron yelled, charging into the room and shaking Link. "I have no idea, but Zelda is in a lot of trouble, as she is in Ganon's hand, although he's un-" "Stop babbling and get her!" Aaron shouted. Link got her. "Hey, how did you get that bloody nose?" Zelda asked. "Oh yeah, your supposed brother about killed me! Socks me in the nose, but I punch back, he's unconscious right now!" Aaron muttered, rubbing his nose. "Oh, funny, like Link's brother would-Link's brother?" Zelda gaped. "Yes, unconscious at the gate! What a sight to see!" Mallard chuckled, walking into the room. "Weren't you a big help!" Aaron muttered. "Yes, well, you amateurs didn't give me a chance!" Mallard grinned. "Why are you grinning? Yours truly nearly got killed!" Zelda moaned, dusting herself off. "Our dainty princess of Hyrule nearly got killed...." Aaron twittered in a singsong and mocking voice. "Oh, lay off, you know Dad will hear that and put you off the unit!" Zelda shot back. "Try and shut me up!" Aaron said. "Klingon!" Lannod Wahes said, walking into the room. "AAAHHHHH!" Aaron yelled. Lannod grinned, recalling the first encounter Aaron had with a Klingon back when he was nine. Aaron remembered and wanted to forget it. But those days were over, they supposed, now that the crew of the H.M.S Winston Churchill, as Aaron called the Eluryh, was "down here in the middle of Strange Central" as Aaron said. "Ashley Morris!" Lannod said. "Oh, don't remind me of her! Twit alert, twit alert, roger, two Sidewinders zeroing in on it!" Aaron said, cupping his hand over his mouth. "What are you talking about?" Zelda asked. Ganon suddenly stirred. "Lord Beaverbrook....Link...Zelda...Oh, I'm still here? Phase one has failed, but phase two will be good!" Ganon said, disappearing in a flash of multi-colored light. "Multi-colored light, that's cheap!" Aaron muttered. "Gosh, Aaron, you've grown since we were cruising the stars together! You were just a pint-size guy, very studious, not very humorous, Jardi reigned on that subject. I always thought you'd be a real captain. Look at you, humorous, married, a guard, you're a FATHER, sheesh, time crumbles things, I suppose," Lannod said. Aaron put his arm around Lannod. "Lannod, you are stark raving mad! Me, studious, not humorous, a pint-sized guy? No, no, no!" Aaron said. "Look, we need to find out what Ganon is doing next!" Zelda said. "Calm down, I got family to take care of!" Link said, squeezing Zelda. Zelda glared at him. "What was the wedding reception last night like? Never got a chance to see it!" Lannod said. "You be glad you weren't there! Let the bridegroom tell it in his own words!" Aaron said, sitting on the bed. Link took off his cap, letting his rather long hair flop down. Aaron had red hair that was pretty long too. Not like Malon's, but they both had a bit of a temper, confirming the old legend that redheads have high tempers. (I am not a redhead and I don't have blond hair) Link started to tell about the "strange" reception, the night before...
"You know I don't like these tailors?" Aaron said as Jack Gibson, one of the guards on Green Unit, sat down at a table. Aaron eyed him suspiciously. "Zelda's off chatting with Malon, you know I don't like these boots?" Link said. "Really, now?" Aaron smiled, leaning over the small table to look his friend square in the eye. "You're making me uncomfortable," Link said. "That's my job, liven things up around here! Always so dreary, and always under the grip of the dictatorship that you're joining!" Aaron said. "What dictatorship?" Link asked suspiciously. "The dictatorship of Blondie over there with Malon!" Aaron said, relaxing back in his chair. "Have you lost your sense of dignity to your country?" Link grinned. "My country? MY country? MY country is light-years away, with my brothers and sisters given up on finding me!" Aaron said, eyeing Zelda again. "Is there a problem about Zel?" Link asked. "There's something different about her tonight. The way she walks, talks, hawks about as if looking for something!" Aaron said, in a faraway voice, as if talking about a horrendous creature about to strike. Link chuckled. "No, Aaron, no. It's our wedding night, you know, she's excited, that's all!" he said. Aaron shook his head. He was to be quite right, and there was another target at the wedding. Link surveyed the guests that had come. He had already been happily wed a half hour ago, and who was here? There was Saria, his friend of many years, there was Darunia, his cool and calm friend who was immeasurably jolly when the conditions were right, Princess Ruto, his girlfriend of five seconds, Nabooru, the Gerudo who was rather sarcastic but always dependable, talking to Malon. Wait, that wasn't Nabooru. That was some other Gerudo. Malon smiled. Link threw Aaron's head over. Aaron's eyes widened. Malon, talking to a GERUDO? He didn't like it, and they were being friendly. Too friendly. Zelda joined in the conversation. He walked over to Malon, who was cradling Michael in her arms. "Honey, there's some really good desserts over here, come over here and we'll try them!" Aaron said. Malon and Zelda, as well as the Gerudo, glared. "Shut up or ship out, Aaron!" Malon said, hitching Michael over her shoulder and continuing to glare. Zelda growled menacingly. "What the heck is wrong? I didn't do anything!" Aaron said, grinning sheepishly. "Humor won't get you out of this. Honey," Malon muttered. Aaron's mouth slowly dropped. He backed up to the table that Link was at. He sat down, pale and ashen-faced. "Wow, exclusive women's club! That Gerudo must really be enchanting them!" Link laughed. "Link, this is serious. Honestly. She said to me 'Shut up or ship out!' And your wife GROWLED at me! Like a dog! This is bad! I only asked her if she wanted dessert! Link, for Din's sake, help me out! This isn't normal! She really IS enchanting them!" Aaron pleaded. Link frowned and walked up to Zelda. Aaron stared at Malon from behind a piano. "Zelda, I really don't-uhhhhhh!" Link said as he collapsed at the same time Aaron did. Zelda continued to stare as if nothing had happened. Security came rushing up. "Princess Zelda, what happened to Link?" one of them asked. "The same thing that's going to happen to you." Zelda said, shaking her hair. The guards collapsed. The entire crowd began moving back. Malon stared coldly at one person, who turned to ice. Impa stared at the group. "We've got a case of possession here!" Saria said, her face white. "Whatever you do, don't get up to them close. Okay, fire!" Darunia said. Magic slammed into the two, who didn't do anything. "Aim at the Gerudo!" Nabooru muttered, not relishing the words. The Gerudo seemed to disintegrate under the pressure. Zelda shook her head. "Wow, that was weird! Something happened, hey, what happened to Link and Aaron, Malon? Malon? Where are-oh, no, help!" Zelda screamed, for Malon was looking straight at her. Fortunately, a figure bowled her over just as an ice ray screamed over her. "Should have married me, Zel!" Aaron said, smiling and whipping out a sword. Malon fired an ice ray at him. Aaron deflected it. "Is that the best you can do? Thanks, Falco!" Aaron muttered, recalling an old game he had played back in the Academy. Malon fired a heat ray, then a light ray, then a lightning ray. Aaron deflected all of them. Malon disappeared. "Zelda, help Link!" he said, dashing up to check the crying Michael out. Zelda went up to Link, whose eyelids fluttered open. He scrambled away from Zelda. "Link, no!" she called. He brought his sword out and narrowed his eyelids. "Link, it's all right!" Aaron called. Link looked over at the Sages. Saria gave him a thumbs-up. Link smiled and went up to hug Zelda. Zelda hugged him. "Our first adventure," she said. "And what an adventure it was!" Aaron said in the now deserted hall.
"I don't know where she is. I've just got to find her," Aaron cried, tears streaming down his cheeks. "We'll find her, we'll find her," Link said, putting a comforting arm around his good friend. "Aaron, that's terrible! We've got to find her before that power that was controlling her takes her over for good!" Lannod said. Mallard nodded. "Well, we've got to get the facts. What kind of power to you think this resembles?" Zelda asked. "Um, Ganon would never do anything like this, so it points to another person," Lannod said. "Yes....wait....the attack.....the man giving the boy some kind of power.....THAT'S IT!" Link yelled, jumping up excitedly. "What?" everyone asked. "The attack on our house up in the mountains, I remember everything, that was Ganondorf and that was Na-oh, I'll tell you everything!" Link said. "What is this, Storybook Corner?" Mallard grumbled.
"Children, someone seems to be visiting us, and they aren't friendly. Gather round me now, and don't show your emotion," Loretta Dragmire said, struggling to remain calm. Her children, Nakil, Link, and Rundan, and her foster daughter, Saria, clung to her skirt. The Gerudo were right outside the door, almost there now, they kicked in the door. The Gerudo attacking were clumsy, and so the family was able to escape. Saria screamed as a Gerudo just missed cutting her to ribbons. The Gerudo's started burning the house. Loretta sensed a tear flowing down her face. Link saw his sister Rundan being bullied by a Gerudo. He took Rundan and helped her through swarms of Gerudo's. Suddenly he saw a boy by the man on the horse. The man gave the boy something, and suddenly light streamed everywhere. The man laughed. Suddenly the thoughts of adult Link penetrated through the gloom. What was his father, Ganondorf, doing with Nakil? The voice of Aaron intersected with Link's thoughts. "Ganondorf was your father, Saria was your sister, Nakil was your brother, he got some sort of power! Yes! Link, that's it!" The young six-year old Link got Saria and Rundan. Suddenly his father swooped up Rundan. "One down, two to go!" he crowed. Suddenly Saria's head hit a rock. She fell to the ground. She hazily got back up. "Ohhhhh, what happened? Hey, what am I doing here? Kokiri shouldn't be out in the other world....Link! Father! Link, we must go to the forest!" Saria said. Link wondered what she was talking about as Saria dragged him down the worn path toward Hyrule Field. Suddenly Stalchildren popped up. Their hideous faces smiled in the moonlight. Saria weaved through them and went into the Kokiri Forest via Lost Woods. "Halt! Who goes there?" a voice, clearly that of Mido's, called. "It's me, Saria, with my, uh, new acquaintance Link!" Saria called. A round face peered into the dark. "Saria! I thought I'd never see you again!" Mido cried, hugging her tight. Saria groaned. "Saria, where are we? I'm your brot-" "A little mixed-up!" Saria sheepishly said. "I am not!" Link shouted.
"GANON IS YOUR FATHER?!!" Aaron shouted. Everyone gasped. "Ganon is my father. GANON?!" Link said, fainting. Nakil walked in. He smiled. "Anything I can do for you?" he asked, frowning as he saw Aaron. Aaron stared back. "Nakil, uh, I'd like you to meet Link's wife Zelda!" Mallard said. Zelda smiled at him, then looked at Mallard. Mallard cleared his throat. "Hey, what happened to Link?" Nakil asked, walking up to him. "He's all nice on the outside, but inside his the heart and soul of a killer!" Aaron whispered to Lannod. "Did I forget to mention you never lost your immaturity?" Lannod whispered back. Aaron glared. "Fainted when he heard some news. He's probably just excited about the wedding." Mallard said. "Aren't you smart...." Zelda muttered. Mallard cleared his throat. "Well, always did have a little bit of a faint heart. Not to be derisive or anything, Zelda, but he did. Our father, on the other hand, was strong, courageous, never picked it up, I suppose. Our father was Hylian, by the way." Nakil said. Zelda coughed. "Is there anything wrong?" Nakil asked. "No, thanks for asking." Zelda said, stealing a furtive glance at Aaron. Link began to wake up. "Oh, man, that's shocking. Ganon was my dad, and Nakil-oh, hi, Nakil." he said. Nakil looked at Link. Zelda coughed again. "Is there anything wrong, Zelda?" Link asked. "What do you think?" Aaron muttered. "All right, this is what goes on here at the castle?" Nakil said. "You think this is bad, wait till Mr. Pig gets here, then it REALLY starts heating up! Last time the Sages did nothing, Zelda got harnessed by some sort of powerful dark cloud, I nearly got killed, sheesh, and then Link tries to slice me! You never apologized for that!" Aaron said. Link glared at Aaron. "A pig is a pig!" Aaron coolly shot back. Nakil suddenly started laughing. Then he started uncontrollably laughing. "Great, we've got a hyena here! Hooray!" Aaron groaned. "I'm sorry, I couldn't help it, I was just thinking about something that was funny!" Nakil said, quieting down amazingly fast. "About how you're gonna go to your dear old dad and say 'They're onto us, we gotta get them before they get us?' That's exactly what you'll do, I know it!" Aaron said, putting Nakil against the wall. Everyone gasped again. Nakil shoved Aaron away and raced up to Zelda, swept her up and put his sword against her throat. "You may have found our little secret, but you won't ever tell it to anyone, or she dies!" Nakil said. Zelda gasped. Link caught his breath. "Great, what now?" he thought. Suddenly Link saw the solution. Aaron was behind Nakil. He signaled to Aaron, who nodded. He knocked the sword out of Nakil's hands and swept Zelda out of his grasp. Link moved in and slammed him against the wall. "DO NOT hurt Zelda, because if you do, you are in TROUBLE! I love her more than life itself!" Link said. "Pretty flimsy excuse," Nakil said, only to have the grip tightened. He suddenly pushed Link away and jumped out the window. Everyone rushed to it. "Gosh, he isn't in sight!" Lannod said. "Magic, I bet," Aaron said. Yes, and currently, everything was going well with Ganon, as his son was reunited with him.....
