Chapter 2
"Keln, you have been appointed Chief of Home Operations, and Soman, you are the Chief of Military Operations! Nakil, for the moment, is my loyal servant, as well as son, and of course, I am Commander-in-Chief, Prime Minister, Premier, Emperor, Dictator, and Ruler!" Ganon said, trying to cement his place as the leader. but only coming across as an arrogant power-hungry paranoid monster. Nakil snorted. Keln the Stalfos and Soman the Moblin looked at him in horror. "You DARE to snort at me?!" Ganon roared. "I thought I would have a bigger share in this! Maybe you want me to go to my brother's side!" Nakil said. "After you tried to kill Zelda? That would be fun to see! But then again, that boy doesn't know jack about fighting, the only reason he won was because of the blasted Master Sword! And Zelda, it was lucky she sent him back to his own time, to get influenced by that dratted Darren, or whatever his name is!" Ganon grumbled. "Masssssster, vhall I get ready vor the coming invasion?" Keln asked. "And 'hould I get 'he ready troops in 'ositon?" Soman asked, both of them displaying total stupidity. "Why, OF COURSE YOU SHOULD!" Ganon yelled. Both of them scurried off. At least he still had that double of Zelda. She would be an excellent part in helping to capture the heroes. Nakil chuckled. With the power he had gotten years ago, this was going to be a blast. But he didn't recognize what was in store for everyone involved....
"Well, Link, I did it!" Zelda said, arranging a vase on the table by their bed. "Did what?" Link asked, whittling away on a wood sculpture with his pocketknife. One of his motto's in life was "Be prepared", and so he had a pocketknife, among other things, and was rapidly building up a supply of assorted odds and ends. "I found the faces in my dream, and I've transported them here," Zelda said. Link broke up laughing. "You're kidding, you couldn't possibly!" he chuckled. "You want to see? Oh, and I've taking the precaution of turning them into Hylian's, for all practical reasons." Zelda said. "You can do that?" Link said, awed. "Only when I need to." Zelda replied, leaving Link open-mouthed and racing to catch up. They swung open a door. Four boys were sitting on the bed. "So what are we doing here?" one of them asked. "I don't know, Nick, just don't know. Oh, look, it's that blond-haired lady. And a guy with a sword. Funny," the largest one said. Link looked dubiously at Zelda. "Sure, go ahead, question our integrity!" one said. Link snickered and turned away. "Oh, I get it, plastic ears! That's good!" another said. "All right, hands up! Coming in, strike team!" Aaron yelled, bursting in with Mallard and Lannod and knocking Link and Zelda to the floor. "What's the big idea?" Zelda groaned. "People, did you all get put under a spell? This is my bedroom!" Aaron sputtered. Link cracked up. "All right, if we're not going to be told where we are and WHAT we are, then we're going to be leaving!" one of the boys said. "Hey, wait, kid, who are you?" Aaron asked. "Well, I'm Jack Hawes, and these are the Noland brothers, Tom, Peter, and Gary. Tom is the oldest, Peter is the middle-aged one, and Gary is the short one," Jack said. "That clears it up, now we'll tell you where you are and what you are here for," Link said. Aaron gaped. "This is my bedroom, and English boy over there is on MY bed, that I share with my currently crazy wife!" Aaron yelled. "Wait, what do you mean English boy? How the heck did you know that I have English ancestors?" Jack shouted. "Well, Hawes is one of the most common names in England, I happened to have a pen pal there once! Juliet was her name! So there!" Aaron snapped. "All right, my name is Princess Zelda, this is Link, my husband, just so none of you get any ideas, this is Aaron Homden, and Mallard Duckman over here, and then Lannod Wahes, and you are in Hyrule, you are currently turned into Hylian's, and I'm having you work for us to defeat Ganon, who is currently on the loose, and that's it," Zelda said. The boys stared in shock. "Let me get this straight, we're working for THE Princess Zelda? THE Link? It's great to meet you!" Jack said. "Wait a minute, how did Aaron over there know about England?" Tom asked, narrowing his eyes suspiciously. "I'm from Earth also, born and bred in the urban wild of San Francisco, California!" Aaron said. "Well, we're from Oregon," Gary said. "Ah, the Gopher State!" Aaron grinned. "Not quite...." Peter muttered. "Hey, we've got a room for you, why don't you come up and we'll get you all cozy up there!" Zelda said, leading the group out of the bedroom. Link leaned down to Jack. "Don't worry, she's not as nice and warm as you think she is!" he chuckled. Jack wiped his head and moved on. They walked into their room and saw what Zelda had personally prepared for them, along with a few maids. Link gasped as he saw the beauty of the guest suite. Four giant beds sat patiently, as did vases and a fifty-foot long bedroom. The wallpaper was beautiful, and there were cavernous closets, that perhaps held many dark secrets, and one of them did, as the boys would find out. "Your Highness, what the heck were you thinking when you put me in a crappy bedroom that's about five inches wide?" Aaron asked. "Aaron, Aaron, Aaron, you are a guard, these are special guests, show some respect!" Zelda admonished. Jack's face contorted in mock pain. "That's got to hurt! Special guests, respect, I might like this!" he said to the other three. They nodded. "Well, we'll leave you in here for now, we need to have a little conference," Mallard said, motioning for the others to follow. They all waved and marched out the door. "Zelda, this is the most hare-brained idea you've had since, since, well, last week! But boys saving us? You'll kill 'em, Zelda, they haven't got a chance out there in that cold, cruel, heartless, world!" Mallard pleaded. Zelda looked at him strangely. "Mallard, have you forgotten that other people's kids, the kids in this castle, your kids, are running around in that cold and cruel world?" Zelda said. "Zelda, I'm a bachelor," Mallard replied. Zelda turned red. "Hey, hey, take it easy, what's your point, Mallard?" Lannod asked. "My point is, I don't think little guys like them should be running around, trying to defeat Ganon!" Mallard cried. "Come on, what harm can the old man do to 'em, I mean, it's not like he can kill them or anything!" Link said. "Oh, yes he can!" Zelda said. "Well, not with me around!" Link boasted. "You know, I think your ego has grown to match Ganon's!" Zelda said. "Definitely!" Lannod chimed in. "Okay, they've got a slim chance of dying!" Link said. Everyone glared. "All right, destiny is not mine to control! But with all you guys around, how could they?" Link asked. "Your memory must be going out too..." Aaron chuckled. Link looked at him. "Oh, well, you know what, I completely forgot about Malon!" Aaron said. "Well, she's probably with Ganon or something, don't make it a big issue!" Lannod said. "Don't make it an issue? Don't make it an issue?! This is my wife here, Michael is worried sick about her, LISTEN TO ME, SOMEONE!" Aaron shouted. "We're listening all right, we just aren't doing anything!" Zelda commented dryly. "Well, if you aren't going to do anything, I will!" Aaron said. He ran off to the stable, obviously to get his horse Ruffian. He rode out of the stable. "Man, he can cover a lot of ground fast!" Mallard observed. "Well, I gotta help him, Zelda, stay here and watch over things, Lannod, Mallard, with me!" Link said. The two others followed. Zelda stood there. Link had always invited her to go on battles with her, she always thought he needed the extra help, no offense to him, but now he was always leaving her behind. Although there hadn't been a military incident since a year ago.....
Aaron wondered where in the heck he would find Ganon. What would a logical place be? Ganon always HAD been a little predictable. Death Mountain would be the best choice, and then probably the Dark World, but how would they get into there? He didn't know, so he went up to Kakariko Village. The place seemed to be a little bit weird today, no one was out. He walked into the village. Ten Moblins and Stalfos jumped out from behind a house, surrounding him. "Hey, it's the 'ero of Time!" one yelled. "No, he vas just trained vy the Hero of Time!" a Stalfos replied. "Same 'hing! Run!" another called. They ran away. "This is a little bit too easy, I'd better be on my guard." Aaron muttered. He walked through the deserted village. Suddenly an Iron Knuckle jumped out in front of him. Thirty monsters jumped behind him. "Oh boy, this is not good! Definitely NOT good!" Aaron muttered. Suddenly loud voices were heard, along with the sound of galloping hooves. "Hey, Aaron! Need help?" Link yelled, while Lannod and Mallard waved to him. "I could use it!" Aaron called back, charging toward the Iron Knuckle. It roared and swung it's ax. Aaron ducked and slammed his sword into it. The Iron Knuckle reeled back due to the force of the blow, but unfortunately the other monsters ran toward him. But Link swept into the battle and cut through five with one blow. Then Mallard and Lannod started drawing others away, leaving Aaron to deal with the Iron Knuckle. "What are you going to do to me? Swing that ax of yours and kill me?" Aaron taunted. The enraged metal monster swung the ax and knocked Aaron down, almost cutting through him. Aaron gasped and fell to his knees. Link saw what happened and fitted a Light Arrow onto his bow. He fired and blew the Iron Knuckle away. He rushed up to Aaron. "Link....I think I'm going...." he whispered. "No, you aren't! Here, I've got a red potion, and I've got a fairy, as well," Link said. He gave Aaron the red potion and let the fairy out, who immediately sprinkled some fairy magic on him. "Oh, that helps. I feel much better," Aaron sighed in relief. Suddenly hundreds of monsters swept down onto the quartet, Ganon at their head, Nakil, Keln, and Soman flanking him. The monsters immediately tied the heroes up. "Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in!" Nakil chuckled evilly. "Now what?" Mallard asked. "I don't know, ask the Fountain of Wisdom over there!" Aaron grumbled. "Hey, Zelda has the Triforce of Wisdom, not me! I'm the courageous one, not the smart one!" Link shot back. "I wasn't talking to you," Aarom muttered. "Well, same with me," Lannod said. "We're going to take you back to my lair, and then we're going to send a little, shall we say, contingent, over to the castle, that will overthrow your precious little monarchy! And then I'll take Zelda and make her watch you being thrown into the Death Mountain Crater!" Ganon laughed. "Big ouch!" Lannod muttered. "You're telling me!" Link sighed. "Impa, where could they be?" Zelda cried. "I don't know, Zelda, I don't know. But I've got a bad feeling about this. It's almost night, and they haven't returned. I'm afraid that Ganon has them," Impa said, putting an arm around Zelda. A tear dripped down Zelda's face. "Don't cry, we'll find them," Impa said. "I've only been married to him for a couple of days, and we're already being torn away from each other!" Zelda sobbed. Impa sighed. The king hadn't exactly been happy with the marriage, and he had tried to persuade Zelda to marry someone else. Well, they had gotten into a fight, and the king threatened to strip her of any royal power she had, which Impa thought was overreacting, and then had told Impa to not let Zelda out of her sight. Impa had reluctantly agreed, but only because she didn't want to lose her job as nursemaid for any of Zelda's children, if she had any children, which Impa knew she would. "I just hope Link is all right," Zelda sighed. "He will be. I know it." Impa said, hugging Zelda. Suddenly a bright flash of light flew towards the castle and slammed into it, causing a huge explosion. Impa and Zelda were flung onto the floor. "What in the world?" Zelda shouted. "Ganon is attacking!" a frightened guard yelled as he rushed to the front gate. The two women gasped. "Impa, stay here, I'm going to go see what the scope of this attack is like!" Zelda said, rushing out the door. "Zelda, no! You'll be in great danger down there!" Impa called, to no avail. Zelda rushed down to the gate. On the way, she met up with the four boys. "We're being attacked!" Jack called. "I know, can you help?" Zelda asked. "You bet your bottom dollar we can help!" Tom said. "Come on, then!" Zelda said. The five of them raced down to see the battle. As they got to the front gate, they could see that the Hylian troops were being decimated. Zelda held up her hands and fired a beam of magic. "Just like in the game!" Jack said. Zelda grinned and pumpd her fist up and down. "Now she's never done that before!" Peter laughed. The four of them marched up. The Moblin's started to gee and haw. Moments later ten were permanently out of action. The Hylian's rallied around these new fighters. The Stalfos and Iron Knuckles moved in. The boys moved into a protective line in front of the soldiers and the archers prepared to fire. As Zelda was watching the ruckus, a clawed hand clamped down onto her shoulder. Zelda screamed as Ganon picked her up and disappeared. "Great..." Jack muttered. "Hey, there's a horse! We'll go to Death Mountain, cause that's where he's most likely to go!" Peter said. "Yeah, yeah, let's go!" Jack said, saddling the horse and helping everyone to get on. They rode off to the Death Mountain Trail, surprisingly not meeting up with any monsters, even up to the mountain itself. They went into Goron City. "Now, if I'm correct, we'll find the entrance to Death Mountain Crater in Darunia's room!" Jack said. They marched into Darunia's room. Darunia looked surprised as they walked in. "Uh, can I help you?" he asked. "We need to move that statue so we can get into the crater!" Gary said. "Excuse me?" Darunia gasped. "Just what we said. Princess Zelda is missing, we need to save her," Tom said. "Well, you'll need Goron Tunics, and thankfully, our chief inventor, Manigorn, has just invented a few kid-sized ones. There should be enough for all of you," Darunia said, walking out the door for a moment and returning with a bunch of smaller versions. "Cool!" Jack said. "Now, I'm going to come with you, if you don't mind. I have a feeling you'll need it," Darunia said, pushing the statue out of the way. Everyone filed into the crater. Zelda's eyes bulged in horror as Link was dangling in a perilous position over the lava pit. She closed her eyes to the horrible sight. She could see Mallard, Lannod, and a strangely dejected Aaron watching the sight from afar, guarded by Ganon's best minions, which frankly were not that good. Link looked at Zelda ruefully. "Link, I guess this is the only way I can talk to you. Can you hear me?" Zelda asked telepathically, looking at Link. Though his eyes were focused on Ganon, he replied. "Yeah, Zel, I can hear you. I'm going to be dead soon, I suppose. I just want you to know that I love you." Link said. "I love you too." Zelda said, falling silent. Ganon shouted out across the gap. "Link, I hope you know that we have family ties! I'm going to enjoy doing this to you, as will Nakil!" he screeched. Link glared and awaited his fate. The rope that held him was slowly being frazzled by the heat. Suddenly Darunia and the four boys jumped onto the rope and swung hard, flying right into Ganon. Ganon grunted as Darunia pumped his fist up and down and grinned. Link was safely deposited onto the ground. Suddenly a monster ran towards Zelda and untied her, and then started to throw her into the lava. Zelda screamed as she began to fall towards the lava. Link jumped onto the rope and swung towards her. But the rope broke, and he plummeted toward the lava. He managed to catch Zelda's hand and grab onto the ledge at the same time. "Link!" Zelda cried as she started to slip. Link tightened his grip on her hand. She winced suddenly and let go of his hand. Link cried out as she fell down towards the lava. Darunia and the boys watched in horror as she fell down. But she landed on a ledge just above the lava, although she was knocked unconscious. Link wiped his head in relief as he climbed up to the ledge. A Moblin advanced toward him. Link realized Ganon had taken his sword and so ran towards Aaron, Mallard, and Lannod, who were tied to a rock. Link untied them. "Hey, what do we do with this Moblin?" Aaron called. "I know!" Mallard said and quickly explained the plan. They all high-fived and Link started getting the monsters attention. "Hey, over here!" he called. The Moblin grinned. Suddenly he was pushed into the lava by the other three. "Hey, Jack, how's the water down there?" Aaron laughed. Suddenly Link saw four swords come whistling in on them. "Duck!" he called, pushing the trio out of the way. Ganon roared and disappeared in rage. "He threw them at us. Well, we got the swords back, only question is, how do we get out?" Link said. "Wasn't there something called the Prelude of Light?" Jack asked. "Just a minute, yes, there was, but what about Zelda?" Link asked. "Oh, leave her in the ditch!" Aaron muttered. Link turned on him. "Why, you completely rotten scoundrel, I oughta smack you good!" he said. "Try!" Aaron said. "Lemme at him, lemme at him!" Link said, fists flying. "Hey, you know that Zelda doesn't have a Goron Tunic?" Aaron said, in an attempt to save himself. Link went white. "Get a rope, she's been down there for five minutes or more!" he said. They all unpacked ropes and tied them together, then tied them onto Link. They lowered him down, he picked up Zelda, they pulled him back up. Zelda was red all over, and she was sweating like crazy. She was suffering from heatstroke. "Let's get her back to the castle!" Mallard said. "Wait, I've got a better idea!" Lannod said.
The Zora called to King Zora. "Hey, King Zora, we've got a wounded princess here! We're going to put her in the water!" he called. "Is it Ruto?" the king called back. "No, it's Princess Zelda!" the Zora called back. "Hey, what's your name?" Link asked the Zora as he pushed Zelda into the water and waded in after her. "Detrian!" the Zora said back. Link smiled as he remembered meeting Detrian seven years back on his quest to get the Zora's Sapphire. But Zelda was hardly breathing, and that was the main thing on everyone's mind right now. "Do you think she'll make it?" Aaron asked. "We can only hope!" Link replied. Suddenly Link was thrown face-down into the water. "Hey, honey!" he heard someone say as he popped up from the water. Princess Ruto's cute but annoying face was staring at him. "Why don't you just drown me?" he yelled. Ruto looked hurt. "I was just wanting to set up our wedding!" she said. "Wedding? WEDDING?! I'm already married, for your information!" Link said. "Come and look," Ruto said, somehow strangely serious. Link looked at Zelda's chest. It wasn't moving. "Oh, Din, no! No, no, no, NO!" Link cried, dragging Zelda's body out of the water and collpasing on it. "What happened to him?" Aaron asked, forcing a half-hearted smile. "Oh boy. Ohhhhhh boy," was all Mallard could say. "She's dead," Link said, defeatedly. He looked as if he would never be able to enjoy life again. Aaron knelt down beside him. "I'm sorry, Link. I'm sorry," he said, patting Link on the back. Link wept unashamedly. "This is a great loss," Lannod said. Something clinked onto the ground. Link looked at it tearfully. It was the Triforce of Wisdom.
Zelda's Lullaby wafted it's way through Hyrule, carried on the wind. At Link's request, Zelda was to be buried in Kokiri Forest, next to the Deku Tree, where this whole madness had all started. Thousands of people of assorted races, even leaders from other countries came to pay their respects. Soon the little meadow was filled with people. The first man to speak was the king. "I married Alia Rolan when I was 21. Four years later we had a child, that we named Zelda. We were such a happy family, and then Alia died. Well, Zelda grew up, we had many special times together, but then when she decided to marry Link, I told her that I didn't approve of it. We got in a fight and....now this," the king said. He walked off. Aaron stepped up. "I first knew Zelda when me and my crew flew down to Hyrule in our spaceship. Well, I met Zelda in a rather unfortunate way: I shot her. She went into a coma, unfortunately, and almost died. Well, we disappeared mysteriously for seven years, then came back, 17 years of age and much more immature," Aaron said, much to the delight of the crowd. "Well, we can see that!" Mallard said, trying to cheer Link up, to no avail. "As I was saying, Ganon came and captured her in a sort of dark entrapment that made her turn evil. We saved her hide and went on to the next adventure. Well, that was saving her hide from Ganon again. Well, we were unsuccessful. Now, don't think I'm badmouthing her or anything, because I'm not. She was a great woman, and I'll never forget her, in more ways than one, as you can see that I have this large bruise here, pay no attention to that man behind the pulpit!" Aaron shouted as he was dragged offstage by a security guard. Link walked up. Tears flowed down his face. He tried to speak, but he couldn't. Mallard pulled him back down and did the speech for him. After the funeral, Link rode back to the castle, saddened and low in spirit. He rode back into the castle, avoiding any contact with anyone and he ran into the library, deciding to search for a book that would get his mind off the disaster. As he got to the main bookshelf he absentmindedly pulled a book off the shelf and looked at a page. He gasped as he looked at the contents of it: "Resurrection" "Let's see, now, it said to go to the Lost Woods, and to wait there. This may be a trick, and if it is, I want to be prepared. Epona, I know you don't like going through the Lost Woods, but you'll have to," Link said. The very name caused Epona to whinny fearfully. "Don't worry!" Link said, guiding Epona into the Kokiri Forest. As they entered, Saria ran up to them. "Link! We've got a little problem..." she said. "Well, your friendly neighborhood hero is here! What's up?" Link asked. "Well, several Kokiri claimed to have seen, uh, a ghost around. Probably no problem for you, but these guys were scared half to Calatia!" Saria said. Link grinned. "What's so funny?" Saria asked. "Nothing, it's just that I was searching for one myself!" Link said, holding up the resurrection book and galloping off towards the Lost Woods. "He's going to....no, he wouldn't be that desperate. Oh shoot!" Saria exclaimed as Link clambered into the Lost Woods entrance. Link was planning to camp out for a week or so, probably more. Meanwhile, back at the castle, something strange was happening.
"If that ain't Zelda, I'm a monkey's uncle!" Mallard said, rubbing his eyes as Zelda, or what seemed like Zelda, walked into the room. "That's what you said last time with Nakil, and look what happened!" Aaron said, watching Zelda from their secret hiding place. "Well, maybe something happened in the fates of the stars to-oh, I think it is Zelda!" Mallard said. But the funny thing was that everyone seemed to accept this, and they really didn't think anything was out of the ordinary. "Hi, guys!" Zelda said, waving to the duo. Aaron slowly waved back. "Don't you see, this is big-time work of Ganon!" Aaron exclaimed. "I'm starting to think the same thing myself," Mallard said. The king was talking with Zelda, and hugging, making up, and kssing, and-never mind. Well, it seemed to Aaron that this wasn't normal, and that certainly a few questions would be raised from somebody. As a matter of fact, Impa knew where they were and slipped into the hideout. "Have you seen Zelda, or, what looks like Zelda?" she asked. Aaron and Mallard nodded. "You know, I think Ganon is-" "Conjuring up an image of Zelda to trick us! That's it! And he'll try and get the Triforce of Wisdom, now in safekeeping with Link, FROM Link, which will be so easy it'll be like taking candy from a baby!" Mallard said. "No kidding!" Aaron said. "Well, I've got a plan. It's not going to be easy, but I think we can do it," Impa said. "What is it?" the other tow asked. "Well, uh, we're going to have to be making some strategy," Impa said. "You have got to be kidding! My Malon inhabited by evil spirits? Ha!" Aaron said. "Wasn't that your original thought?" Mallard remarked. "And we're going to have to be making something that can destroy those things. Now, I know where Malon is. It seems that Ganondorf has made a little 'summer retreat' over at Sarnila," Impa began. "Sarnilia? What is Sarnilia?" Aaron asked "Ever heard of Sosaria, Calatia, those places?" Impa asked. "Oh yeah, Sosaria, origin of Sosarian ale, finest beer on earth, and Calatia, famous vacation retreat for all those with strong wills!" Aaron said, sighing happily. Impa coughed and moved on. "Well, Sarnilia is a Hylian colony, very near Velattiane, a communist country. They've been wanting to get at their hated enemy, Moldera, for decades, and they envy us for our wealth and prosperity. I suppose they just want to get the Triforce. They think Sarnilia is a way that Hyrule can spy on Velattiane and give info to Moldera. Well, it sort of is, but we don't give out information to Moldera. I suppose I'd better fill you in on the world situation right now. You see, in the western countries, we've got a balance of terror going on right now. Velattiane dwarfs every other country except for Tanol, and even then, they're about even in terms of size. Aidnaryk is hemmed in by those two, and Jueland and Lemmink are isolated. Jueland and Lemmink are weak, as they monarchy is losing power, and riots are erupting. The north countries are Dalsona and Dubatio, long advocates of isolationism, but now are going into the world conflict due to the increased enthusiasm of their world leaders, King Theo Roosevelt for Dalsona and Prime Minister Winston Churchmount for Dubatio. They both do not trust Velattiane and Tanol. The southern countries are Benlucca and Sosaria, each of which are seperate continents. They are fierce enemies of Velattiane and Tanol. The eastern countries are Brynnel and Moldera, Moldera HATES Velattiane, Tanol, they think of as a dangerous nuisance," Impa said, panting for lack of breath. "A dangerous nusiance?" Aaron asked. "Yeah, someone who really annoys you and is dangerous. Mallard, are you all right?" Impa asked, looking at Mallard, who had turned ghostly pale. "Mallard, Earth to Mallard?" Aaron asked, waving a hand in front of Mallard. "No. You're gonna hate me, but I'm...Velattian," he said. "What?" the others asked. "Yes, you heard right. But maybe I should tell you the whole story. You see, I was an up-and-coming man, early twenties, a couple of decades ago. But then the Communist revolution happened, and I didn't believe in Communism, so they kicked me out. Ho boy, I flee to Hyrule, find a job with the Hylian Guard, and I end up here. You know, you'll probably want to kick me out. I don't mind," Mallard said, beginning to crawl out. "Wait, buddy, I'm sure that you haven't been revealing secrets or anything. Come on back," Aaron said, pulling Mallard back. "Hey, you mean it?" Mallard grinned. "Now, I'll tell you the situation of the oceans, gulfs, and things like that. Well, the Gold Sea is watched over by Velattian ships, Dalsona, and us, through Sarnilia. Aidnaryk, as well, has a share in it. Desero Gulf is pretty much owned by the Dalsonans, although Velattiane has a part of it. Windward Strait is watched over by Benlucca, Lemmink, and Jueland, thus assuring us safe passage through it unless they turned on us. The Hylian Sea is watched over by us, of course, and Dalsona, and Dubatio has a tip of it. The Great Sea is watched over by Benlucca, and Sosaria, and us, so we can be assured safe passage to one of our greatest allies. (Sosaria is to the Hylians what Americans are to the British in World War I) Benlucca Bay is watched over by Benlucca and Sosaria. The Medius Ocean is watched over by Hyrule, Sosaria, Brynnel, Dubatio, and Moldera, thus making it the most protected ocean of the Global Alliance," Impa said. "Global Alliance?" the other two asked. "Yes, Aidnaryk, Benlucca, Brynnel, Calatia, Dalsona, Dubatio, Hyrule, Jueland, Lemmink, Moldera, and Sosaria have signed an alliance, called the Global Alliance. You see, as I have already stated before, Tanol and Velattiane are rising in power. These countries have signed an alliance to protect themselves and others from a growing threat. If any of these countries were to invade the other two, here's what would happen: Aidnaryk fighting on Tanol would do very well, as they have hills and grassland too. On Velattiane, they would do good on the grassland and desert area. Benlucca invading either of those two would be good. Brynnel would be more adept on Tanol. Calatia would be better on Velattiane, but for all personal and political reasons should be put on Tanol terrain. Dalsona would be better on Velattiane. So would Dubatio. We would be good on either of the two. Jueland would be the same. Lemmink is amazingly adaptable to all territory. Moldera, good on both. Sosaria, both of them," Impa said. (I'm sorry, I've probably put you readers through the most boring piece of literature in fanfic history. Please forgive me) "Wow, so that's the world situation. Sheesh, never thought there was so much world turmoil!" Aaron said. "Why do I get the feeling I'm a parent mentor..." Mallard muttered. "Why do I get the feeling I'm your wife?" Impa said. "Dunno, maybe you were meant to be my wife!" Mallard smiled. "I wish I were in bed. Well, as you know, Malon is in deep trouble, we need to get her out of it. Like I told you, that Nakil or whatever his name is sent some, uh, you know what I mean into Malon," Impa said, sensing Aaron's sensitiveness on the subject. "And?" Mallard asked. "And we've got to make something to combat this. Well, Aaron, I believe you've drawn up the plans for this magic-powered weapon?" Impa asked. Aaron grinned and pulled a paper out of his pocket. He unfolded it. Mallard and Impa frowned. "What is that?" they both asked. "The Ghostbuster 2000!" Lannod settled down with Jardi Dragren, chief engineer on the Eluryh, and one of his best friends. They had been ordered to watch Zelda and see if she was just who she said she was. It was lunch, and this provided ample opportunity for them to watch her. "Hey, what's she doing with her food?" Jardi asked, pointing to the suspect. She was fingering a fork in her hand and then some liquid oozed off of it. "Ahhhh! She's trying to kill us with a new poison!" he whispered. "Jardi, that's honey on her fork! We're having honeyed ham today, remember? It's only three days till Farore's Day, you know. So it's normal. Can't wait, I think that they're having a big ceremony and stuff for something." "SHUSH! Can't you see she's watching us?" Jardi exclaimed. Zelda was watching them with a knowing look on her face. "It isn't gonna be a happy Farore's Day for Link. Man, with Zelda gone and everything, man, he's having a rough life!" Lannod said. "Shut your darned mouth, remember World War II, 'Loose lips sink ships'? Well, that's what's gonna happen if you don't shut up!" Jardi growled. Lannod held up his hands in mock defeat and kept eating. "And by the way, she's doing something with her food."
