The Treasure in Free Verse
A Riddle

by MegaZeldaMan

Hark, my friends and lend me your ears,
For a great treasure I speak of to you,
Which is sweeter than apples and softer than the sun,
More peaceful than the night and purer than water.
Oh whatever is this treasure?

Golden threads ride the wind,
And a pair of stars twinkle within,
A peach colored sky at the bottom of which,
Lies two short streaks of crimson red.
Oh whatever is this treasure?

Feast your eyes on the vista below,
A field of roses so beautiful and fair,
In colors of white, pink, violet, and, blue,
And they sway along with every stride.
Oh whatever IS this treasure?
