PART TWO: A Dragon; Defeating Ranus

Link walked out of  Dodongo's Cavern, he had just finished checking on it, as promised to Darania.

He went over to Epona, who was waiting paitently by the stone wall.

Link patted her mane and gave her a carrot from his bag. Epona devoured it, and whinned, she wanted more.

Then she stiffened, and took off like a cheetah, Link fell to the ground, looked up and saw why.

A huge, yellow, beast with wings was sailing towards him, a Dragon.

Link yelped and ducked, the beast landed, its eyes were red. It meant harm.

Link pulled out The Master Sword, and ducked again, he felt a searing pain in his shoulder and great wieght. He looked and saw the Dragon was biting him! Link drew back his sword.

WHOOMHP!

Link cut off the Dragons head and looked at it.

The eyes were still burning red. Link felt another ulatimate pain in his shoulder and all went black.

Aven hurried around the corner.

"Shh. Adien be quiet." Aven whisperd.

Adien nodded, and Aven scurried around the corner into the little house, Adien at his heels.

The house was dark and made of stone.

"Ahhh, young masters, why up so late?"

"Vallayn. You know why, we wanna hear another story of Battles and Dragons!" Aven exclaimed excitedly.

"You know your mothers dissaproves." Vallyn said with a hint of a smile. Vallyns white hair was tied back in a ponytail, and his hazel eyes sparkled when he saw his young friends. Vallyn was about seventy years old, and had a thick, scraggley, long beard and mustache that obscrured his mouth.

"Pleaaase." Adien begged.

"Okay." Vallyn laughed, he rubbed his chin, which was coverd by that beard of his, "Here, I'll tell an adventure Tykami told us when she first arrived...The Cylan..She was starting to feel inhumane. But when she saw that thing, she ran! A while later she was feeling better. She was human, only immortals can't feel fear, so she returned and defeated the monster. Yet even though the Cylan had the first laugh, she had the last."

Aven and Adien laughed.

"You know, your father has been gona awhile..." Vallyn said, perplexed ", its not like him, is it?"

"Nope, Mothers hoping he didn't get killed." Aven sighed, running his hand through his blonde hair.

"Well, one time, your father went to the Dismal Woods," Vallyn began, a serious look on the aged face ", he nearly became Erong meat, but-"

"Now, now, what do I have here, tellin tales on me, Vallyn?"

"Oh, sorry sire." Vallyn grinned sheepishly.

"Father! You're home!" Aven yelped, running to his 25 year old father and flinging his arms around him.

"About time." Adien teased.

Aven made a face over his fathers shoulder. Link started talking to Vallyn.

"Dork." whisperd Adien.

"Dummy." Aven hissed.

They made more faces at each other.

"Stop it, you two," Link chuckled.

"You can see us!" Adien exclaimed, face shocked.

"No, but watching the commentary on your face is enough to guess what you two were doing." Link said, clearly amusedand looking at Adien with a small smile.

"Sorry." Aven and Adien said at the same time, not looking at each other.

"Well, we gotta go, Adien, Aven, I won't tell on you this time." Link said, he turned to Adien ", better get home, or your mother's going to tan your hide."

"I know." Adien grinned sheepishly, then he waved and dashed out the door.

"Vallyn, can you lock the gates tonight, something's coming, of this I'm sure."

Vallyn nodded.

Link turned to leave.

"Thanks, Vallyn."

When they were out of the little cottage, Link turned his head to his son.

"If your mother finds out how late you stayed up, we'll both be in trouble." Link chuckled.

They had been walking, they reached the castle, and Link whispered something in his ear.

"Mother will never know?"

"Nope." Link grinned. Aven went off to sneak back into his rooom.

Now, to Zelda.

Zelda sat by the fireplace in her and Links room, the one that Gannondorf had been killed in they had roped off.

It had been about six years from that incident and she also had four more kids. Having five kids was a hand full.

She sighed, thinking of Link. He'd been gone for about two weeks now.

Zelda heard the door open and turned around.

"LINK!" Zelda gasped, she ran out to meet her husband.

Link embraced her the same minute she embraced him.

"You're back! I knew you would...I just knew it." Zelda murmured, her head on his chest, Link was at least half a foot taller than she.

Link snuggled his face into her golden hair. "And if you didn't?" Link asked in tones Zelda heard him use many times.

"I wouldn't believe myself, my lord." Zelda smiled, kissing him softly on the lips.

Link kissed her back, then as Zelda crawled in bed an hour later...he rememberd more of what had happend earlier.

'Link woke up, he wasn't on the mountain side, nay, he was back in dodongo's Cavern.

He stood up, looking around, then he saw a little window like thing over at the wall, Link walked over to it(What was that wierd gait he was walking?)and saw, it was a mirror.

Link looked inside it, and jumped back against, well, not the wall, for when he tried to do that he felt a pain in a place he did not understand. Link took a deep breath and looked inside the mirror again.

He saw a dark green Dragon, with a black and blue ridge beginning on its head, and ending...who knows where. Two wings, two humongeous bat-like wings, hehe saw a tail whip into sight, then out of sight once again.

Link took another deep breath, looked at himself, and nearly fainted. He WAS a Dragon. He was the paticular type that could walk on all four legs(Link shudderd)but also stand up on two, the Dragon had a broad chest and a skinny waist area. God, he was a Dragon!

"About time you came to."

"Impa!" Link/Dragon whipped around.

"Yep, you know, you actually don't look too bad." Impa chuckled, surveying him in his 'Dragon' form.

"Ha-ha." Link growled, he was revolted to see an issue of smoke come out of his mouth.

"Hey, I was complimenting you," Impa commented ", we haven't seen each other in a while."

"Sorry." Link said, grinning kinda guiltly, he looked in the mirror and saw how big his fangs were and shut his mouth.

"Well, to tell the truth, green Dragons usally is a good omen." Impa smiled, still surveying him with an amused expression.

"Thanks, what happend, how come I'm..." Link puased "...a Dragon?"

"Oh, you got bit by a dragon, that happens many times and nothing happens, but" Impa paused ", you were chosen to be the first seventh century Hylian Dragon...you now have Dragon blood in your viens. Its both a blessing and curse." Impa smiled ", I found you by a dead Dragon, you were looking green, so, I dragged you on inside...you transformed them, into, well a Dragon..."

"How can I change back." Link asked, still examining himself with a kind of sick expression.

"Wait, you mustn't tell anyone, they may try to capture you, hurt you, and kill you, but you must defend them." Impa said, looking him straight into his Dragon eyes ", not even Zelda."

"What!?" Link yelped, he had to protect people that were trying to kill him!?

"Yes, and to change back to human, just concentrate on your image as a human. To change to a Dragon, say, 'Green Dragon!' To have a certain part of a Dragon, just say Dragon...whatever, and viola, just concentrate on your human image to return normal." Impa explained.

Link nodded and concentrated on his image as a human, he felt rushes of something and felt that he no longer had a tail. He nodded thanks and headed for the door. Then he paused in the doorway.

"Impa, what if I don't?"

"Then Hyrule will die." Impa replied gravely.

Link nodded once more and left.

Link shook his head, there was nothing he could do about it, he was the Hylain Dragon.

And he couldn't tell anyone, not even Zelda. No one could know.

Impa had said that other evil Dragons would return., and he would have to fight them.

Link stood up and strode to the door, he had to find out more.

"My lord, itsn't it a weeny bit late?" Asin, the aged librain asked.

"Yes, but I need to learn of something." Link replied ", now."

"Okay, of what?" Asin asked.

"Dragons."

"Dragons...hmm, lets see here, oh! Here's the book!" Asin said, pulling a dusty looking volume.

Link took it and thanked Asin, who said his thank you and began shuffleing among the books. Link sighed and sat down and began to read.

Dragon have been prejudged agaisnt becuase of the evil ones, and mostly because of Fleshripper, a brown dragon.

Fleshripper wanted Hyrule for himself. He mangaged to convince two tribes of Dragons to turn to his side, the leaders of these tribes were Leaderwing and Evielstrength. They killed many good Dragons, untill thought that the gold, silver and bronze ones were extinct...'

Link yawned and continued reading.

'...people of Hyrule slept throu...'

Link conked out.

Zelda yawned and looked around, Link wasn't there.

The only time this had happend was one, in a dream, she pinched herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming.

Ouch, okay, not dreaming.

"MUM!"

Zelda had just sat up when she was barrled down by her triplets.

"Guys!" Zelda laughed, tickling them so she could sit up and look at them.

First was Syrius, he and his twin, Sethyn, looked like their father and were alike in every way, then, there was the third triplet, Saralyn, the second girl but was a troublesome as Syrius and Sethyn.

"You three." Zelda giggled, ruffling Sethyns hair.

"Mum, have you seen Anvyna or Aven?" Saralyn asked.

"No, I think the dearies have gone out to play," Zelda sighed ", without permission again."

"Actually, mum, that'd be us." Sethyn grinned guiltly.

"You little tramps!" Zelda laughed, tickling them so that they giggled thier heads off.

Aven and Anvyna sneaked into the library. And they saw thier father, he had apparently fallen asleep reading.

They snuck around him and looked at the book, it was on Dragons.

"Dragons?" Anvyna mouthed wordlessly.

Aven nodded, apparently his father hadn't been able to stay awake, and had gotten either bored or just got so tired he couldn't stay awake another second.

Link yawn, both children leaped in surprise, they were only seven and six and a half, the triplets were only five.

He opend both eyes and found enlisted surprise at waking up in the libary, he heard two small kids trying to escape.

"I wonder what you two were up to." Link yawned as he closed the book.

"Um...we were, um..." Aven stutterd.

"We...we...uh oh." Anvyna grinned guiltly.

Link shook his head in exasperation.

"Well, why were you reading about Dragons?" Anvyna asked curiously.

"Errr...I was curious." Link lied. Apparently he had something to hide.

Aven could tell his father was lying, and he sensed Anvyna knew he was too, he and Anvyna were almost twins, she was only six months younger.

"Yes, I must go to training." Link yawned ", you two be good now." He said, ruffling Avens hair, Aven loved it when either of his parents did that.

"Did you see that! He's hiding something!" Anvyna huffed.

"Yeah, I wonder..." Aven gasped ", If..."

"Hey, Dven, how's Malon, Eima, and Jake?" Link asked, he may have been the captain, but he trained with his soldiers, he didn't train his soldiers.

"Great, how's your family, Fresan?" Dven asked concentrating on blocking his blows.

"Just fine, Shawn?" Fresan grunted, dodging an attack from Gieland, her partner.

"Jennie, Dynan, and Kryla are fine. Though Jennie still practices with her sword, she hated quitting the regiment." Shawn said, voice low. "Aidrian?"

"Adien, and Tykami are doing great, Tykami caught him trying to sneak out to visit Vallyn last night." Aidrian laughed a little ", it was kinda funny."

"Okay men! That'll do for today." Link yelled, the men cheered, Link was well loved, he was considerbly kinder than the last Captain they had.

"Okay, you know what, do you guys believe in Dragons?" Fresan asked.

"No..." Link lied, stomach hollow, what if they knew?

"Well, Fresan told me that he saw an yellow one swoop down over death mountain, or was it a orange one?" Shawn asked.

"And guess what, Link, Epona came running down the hill, as if you'd been up there..." Aidrian said suspiciously.

"Wierd, wonder what she was doing up there, I let her loose for the day," Link lied, shrugging.

"Dragons are rare." remarked Dven, he was apparently thinking of a Fleshripper, an infamous brown Dragon

"Mhhmmm." Link nodded, he didn't like how this conversation was going at all.

Dven, sensing Link's discomfort, changed the subject.

"Malon, Eima, and Jake decided to come on down, the kids'll like that." Dven chirped. Link was thankfull that Dven had covered up for him, even though he knew he'd have to answer some questions later.

"Well, Alamia and the kids are coming down." Fresan smiled.

"So is Tykami and Adien." Aidrian laughed.

"How convient," Shawn said ", so is Jennie and the kids."

They continued to talk and walk, all the way to the entrance of the libary.

"Well, Aidrian and I must go cuase mischeif." Shawn said cheerily.

"Yes, and Fresan's going to go to the stables." Aidrian remarked.

"Yep, gotts check on me horse." Fresan said, as he, Shawn and Aidrian waved good-bye to Link and Dven.

Link immeadintly grabbed a book, on history, he didn't want Dven to find out what he really was.

"Thanks for helping me there." Link said, smiling.

"Why were you uncomforatable?" Dven asked.

Link shrugged, oh god how he hated lying to everyone.

"Dragons.....do you think there are Dragons round?" Dven asked.

Link shrugged again.

"You know what, I won't bother you on Dragons anymore, here, here's a book about them." Dven said cheerfully, throwing Link the little dark red book on Dragons.

'The people slept through the Council of the Dragons, but awoke at thr clashing of Dragons overhead.

Each Dragon Species has its own job:

Red- gaurd the intrances to Hyrule, both pyshical and mental.
Blue-gaurd the sea's around Hyrule.
Green- guard Hyrule and its peopel.
Purple- gaurd the Triforce
Yellow-gaurd the evil realm
Orange-gaurds evil places
Magenta-gaurds good agaisnt evil.
Black-guards the King of Hyrule
White-gaurds the Skies of Hyrule.
Brown-guards the yellow and orange Dragons.
Silver-gaurds the Golden Dragon.
Gold-gaurds over Hyrule
Bronze-gaurds all Dragons below him.'

"LINK!"

"What Dven?" Link asked, getting up and dashing towards the window.

"Dagons..." Dven stutterd, pointing at the sky.

Link looked up, and he saw a brown Dragon causing mayhem. Link felt his throat go dry...he'd better use his powers, soon. He was just thinking of an excuse to tell Dven when the Brown picked up Zelda from a balconey.

"Dammit! Dven, don't tell a soul of what I'm going to do!" Link commamded. Link said clearly, in Dven's stunned face. "GREEN DRAGON!"

Green fire that did not burn went from his feet, to his head, he felt the tail and wings sprouting out of his back.

"Damn." Dven whispered beside him.

"Don't tell a soul." Link ordered. Dven nodded, taking in Link's Dragon appearence.

Link jumped off the balconey and steadied himself in the air with the use of his wings and tail to keep him balanced.

The brown dropped Zelda at hundred feet in the air, stopping to enjoy destruction of the queen.

Just then, a green streak passed underneath, and with fury, the brown realized that the green had just saved the queen.

Link held on to the back of Zelda's robes with his front left claw.

He saw Zelda gasp and look up at him in Dragon form, she had no idea that her husband just saved her, Link swooped down and dropped her lightly on the balconey.

"Zelda!" Alamia exclaimed, rushing to her friend with Impa on her tail ", are you all right?"

Impa did not hear Zelda's reply, she knew Zelda was fine, but she was waching Link fight the Brown.

<'He's doing good.'> Impa thought with a faint smile.

Link spat a jet of flame at his opponnet and growled ", you don't belong here, go back to your terriory, go!"

He spat another jet of flame at the snakey brown Dragon.

The other Dragon roared.

Link ducked as a jet of brown flame nearly hit him. Darn, this Dragon thing might not be so bad after all.

Link streaked forewards and slashed his oppennet in the soft underbelly with his new claws. Well, you gotta win when you gotta win.

The brown roared angirly, but it didn't matter, it was spiraling down, down, into the village square.

Link turned back and flew around the castle, to lose the sight of the gaping crowd.

He landed in the libary, and saw Dven.

"Okay, you better explain whats going on, Dragon boy." Dven gasped, Link shrugged his funky Dragon shoulders.

"TOLD YOU HE'S A DRAGON!"

"Did not, Aven!"

Link and Dven looked at the two of them. Aven and Anvyna were in a fight, but stopped as Link turned back to normal.

"You mustn't tell a soul." Link warned.

"We won't." Aven and Anvyna chorused.

"You know I won't." Dven said, still in shock.

"Told you he was a Dragon," Aven whispered to his sister.

"No, I told you!"

"Told you what?" Impa said, arriving at the libary.

"Impa, they found out." Link said flatly.

"Sneaking little..." Impa began, then she sighed ", good save on Zelda, she'll want to see you, no doubt."

"Does she know." Link asked anxiously.

"No, not yet, don't tell her or I will personally cut off your heads." Impa said, looking at the four sternly.

"You know I'm not going to, the people thinks Dragons are dangerous." Link said flatly ", I get too much attention as it is."

"I'd never tell on him, after all, green Dragons do protect the people." Dven said fairly.

"We won't." Aven and Anvyna said at the same time.

"Good, and if it is allright to you, Link, we'll go see Zelda now." Impa said.

"Zelda you okay?" Link asked, running beside her with Aven Anvyna, and the triplets on his tail.

"Yes, oh! I'm fine!" Zelda laughed, all five kids had flung thier arms around thier mother, hugging her as Link hugged them all.

A few minutes later...

"Okay, guys!" Alamia said sweetly from the balcony doorway ", come and have lunch, Raine, Casey, and Dilian will eat with you guys today!"

"Okay!" The triplets chorused, and followed Alamia.

"Come on, Anvyna!" Aven said, tugging at her sleeve. Anvyna was staring at the heavens.

"Oh?" Anvyna yelped ", sorry, better go."

She followed Aven as he followed the twins who followed Alamia.

"That was wierd, but that Dragon who saved me...he seemed, good, almost." Zelda said softly.

"Really..." Link said.

"Yes, and from now on, if anyone could bring me back a Dragon, any Dragon, alive, they will recieve 200,000 rupee's." Zelda said detirmly. "I want to save the Dragonic race-Not destroy it."

"Zelda, don't you think, that maybe the Dragons would be---dammit! Rain!" Link yelled as thick drops splatterd on his face.

"Hey, Zelda!" Tykami called from the bench where she, Jennie. Alamia, and Malon were seated.

"Hi, guys!" Zelda smiled.

"Hi Zelda! I heard that you had been attacked by two Dragons?" Jennie requested interestedly.

"Well, more like attacked by one and saved by another." Zelda laughed.

"Cool, I saw a brown one swooping down on Castletown, and then the green one attacked the brown one, on my way here, right?" Malon asked.

"Yep," Alamia nodded ", now, we might have a Dragon problem, we haven't had one since the Imprisoning  War."

"Thats great." Tykami said sarcastically.

Four hours later, after Tykami, Malon, and Jennie left.

Link stayed up, reading the small red book.

'Each Dragon also finds an amulet to represent it.

Red- Instict, knowledge- three triangles side by side, small, large, medium.
Blue-quickness, strike-a cirlce with a teardrop cut out of the center.
Purple-agilitly, logic- a square with a triangle cut out of the center.
Yellow-evil- a rectange with a square cut out of the center.
Orange-darkness- a triange with a square cut out of the center
Magenta-see into the heart- a diamond shape with a heart cut out of the center.

The others are unknown, only six of the twelve amulets have ever been earned.

The other six unkown amulets, as said before, have never been eared or found? ither way, only six are known in todays society.'

"Link?"

Link jumped up in surprise.

"Yes, honey?" Link asked, forgetting about the book on the table.

"You need to get to bed, it's late." Zelda said, picking up the little red book ", I see you've ben studying, worried?"

"A little," Link admitted, slinging his arm around his wife and hugging her.

"I owe that Dragon my life..." Zelda sighed.

"Well, I read that it is a good Dragon's duty to gaurd the Royal Family." Link smiled, he knew this, of course.

"Well, yes, but I wonder, where were you when this happend?" Zelda asked, squinting her eyes at him.

"I was in the libary," Link said truthfully.

"You got a good view of the attack, I hope that doesn't happen again anytime soon. " Zelda murmured, kissing Link.

"Me niether." Link laughed, he sat down the book on the shelf.

"We'd better get to bed." Zelda smiled.

"Aven, catch!"

Aven jumped into the air and caught the ball.

"You know, Raine, throw it more to the left!" Aven yelled.

Aven was with his friends, which he happend to have a lot of them, Anvyna, Raine, Adien, Eimanlyna,
Jake, and Kryla.

Sethyn was with his twins, Saralyn and Syrius, also accompinied by thier friends, Casey, Dilian, and Dynan.

"You know that Dragon attack earlier? It was totally awesome! I hope more come and the green Dragon kicks more butt!" Jake exclaimed.

"It was cool, but I read Dragons are usally bit and chosen." Raine agreed.

"What do you think, Eima?" asked Kryla.

"Well," Eima said, throwing the ball to Adien ", I think the whole thing is cool, but what if the Dragon fails to turn up? What if it is defeated in battle? Its all a matter of chance, it is."

"I agree, though, if Hyrules fate is in the hands of Dragons, we'd better be on our best gaurd." Adien muttered.

"I don't know what to think," Anvyna said, passing the ball to Kryla ", but I'd say our chances are 50, 50."

Aven remained silent, what could he say <'Guys, my father is the green Dragon.'> No way.

"Well, I agree with Adien." Aven mutterd, passing the ball to Jake.

"SARALYN IS IT!" Sethyn laughed, tagging his sister and running off.

Saralyn laughed and ran up behind Dilian.

"Dilian is it!" Saralyn screamed joyfully and ran away.

A few seconds later they heard Casey shreech.

"Casey's it!" Dilian yelled.

Casey ran up right behind Syrius and lept, tagging his shoulder.

"Syrius is it!" Casey yelped, she got right back up and ran in the oppsite direction.

Syrius yelled and chased after Dynan, who was giving a fight.

Finally, Syrius laughed ", Dynan's it!"

Dynan took after Casey, but then Sethyn ran right past him and Dynan reached out and grabbed Sethyn's arm.

"SETHYN IS IT!" Dynan laughed.

Sethyn tagged Casey.

"CASEY IS-" Sethyn began.

"I need to meet the Queen, and the king." A  messenger said, interrupting the childerns yells."Its urgent, even though
I don't think that even small babies can misunderstand that."

"She's up in the libary." Saralyn said indifferently. Almost annoyed.

"Yeah, she's up there with Father, okay." Syrius said cooly.

"Okay." the messanger said coldly.

"He didn't even say thanks." Dilian snarled as the messanger stalked away.

"Whats his problem," Dynan said indignatly.

"Yeah, we are not babies." Casey said angirily, she hated being called a 'baby.'

"Your magesties." said the grey clad man. He had yellowish hair with black eyes.

"Oh, hello, Mr. Dannet." Zelda said, setting down her book on the table. 'Dragon Histories' fell to the tabe with a thud.

"Hello, and at ease." Link said, setting down the dark red book he was always reading. Then he felt a jolt, and for some reason, did not like Mr. Dannet. <'Whats wrong with me?'>

The man called Mr. Dannet stood up and handed Link a telegram. "For you, sire." Mr. Dannet said stiffly. Link felt the burning dislike again as he accepted the telegram.

"It says;
Brother, Zelda, please come up to the top of Death Mountian and help me! There's a whole tribe of yellow Dragons!
                        -Darainia"
Link read.

"More Dragons?" Zelda exclaimed eargerly.

"I presume." Mr. Dannet, his first name was Welbingiermieanthen.

"Great.." Link mutterd, this guy reminded him of someone so familair. A man that tried to take Zelda for his own.

"What, Link?" Zelda asked.

"Nothing Zelda." Link said, a smile on his face.

"Anyway," Welbin said ", He said he needed you at once!"

"Then we leave in the morning, its a little late, we'd better call in the childern!" Zelda announced.

"Zelda, want me to call the kids in?" Alamia asked, popping her head in the room.

"Yes, please, Alamia." Zelda replied.

"Thanks, Mr. Dannet." Link said, dimissing Welbin.

Link stared up at the celing, Zelda was fast asleep, he looked out the window and felt an urge to fly.

He shook his head.

Link got up and walked down to the libary, he need to know more.

He had just picked up the book when the balconey curtains began billowing.

Link stood back and watched expectantly.

A purple Dragon stepped into the libary, a white, black ridge went from its head to its tail.

"Hello, Link." The Dragon said in a familair voice. Purple fire burned away to reveal-

"Impa! I didn't know you were a Dragon as well!" Link exclaimed.

"Yes, I am a Dragon as well, I'm a Shiekaih Dragon." Impa explained, she flung her hand around, and both the doors to Asin's room and the libary doors shut tight. "It seems that you must make sure that Zelda is not harmed on the way up Death Mountain, yes, I sense a disturbance." Impa continued.

"Yes, but how?" Link asked, groping for answers.

"I sense it becuase of Fire, Din's element," Impa siad, smiling ", and you know purple Dragons gaurd the Triforce."

"Ohhh...." Link nodded.

"Mhm." Impa said, then she continued briskly ", you'll need to stick near Zelda. If attacked by a Dragon, go hide and transform, and make sure Zelda lives."

"That won't be a problem," Link said cockily.

Impa laughed.

"You better be on guard." Impa said suddenly turning stern.

"Of course I will." Link laughed.

"You are hopeless." Impa smiled.

"I know." Link said sarcastically.

"Remember that when you save Zelda tommorow." Impa said, turning to a dragon and leaping out the window.

Link thought over those words for a few seconds, he turned to the 'Dragon' book and continued reading.

'It turns out, that Dragons can usally sense if someone is untrusworthy, or evil.

Dragons have been known the be unusal people, in unusal places. The worst was; Da-da-ta-da! Fleshripper. Fleshripper had been a Warlock before being bit, he took the bite, not as a curse, but as a blessing. He became the most powerfull Dragon in the world using a comination of Dark magic and Dragonic powers. Fleshripper was defeated by a gold Dragon called Demonslayer. Demonslayer defeated Fleshripper and the effort killed Demonslayer, who was given a hero's burial by the Dragons.

But the Hylains hated all the Dragons, for the killing of thier livestock,(courtesy of the orange Dragons) and land. So they put up a reward of 500 rupees for every Dragon head brought in. Well, the gold, silver, and bronze were practically extint, so by the end of the rewards, every silver, gold, and bronze Dragon was dead, the magenta, white, black, green, blue, red, and purple were practically extint as well.

There was plenty of yellow, brown, and orange dragons about, so yet more rewarding and then, the whole Dragon race was almost extinct. In past years, young Dragons have been seen and killed. The last known Dragon to be killed was a white one, found on Death Mountain by a trapper named Jalain. Jalain was rewarded 2,000 rupees for his pains.'

Link yawned and shut the book. He looked at the gaint clock over at the wall.

12:03am.

Link knew he must get sleep, he needed it badly.

He picked up the Dragon book and wrenched open the doors, and sneaked out and up to his room.

Aven laid awake in his bed, staring at the celing.

He couldn't believe that his father was a Dragon...he just couldn't.

It had seemed cool at the time, but now that he thought of it, it was dangerous.

Link would have to be carefull that no one else discoverd who he was.

And if anyone did...Aven couldn't even think of what might happen. No thank you.

Aven sat up on his knees and punched the pillow into a more comfortable posistion.

Aven then again sat back down and looked at the celing.

Then he decided to use that little power he had just found, not to long ago.

"Navi?" He spoke tentivally into the darkness.

A small crackle didn't disturb any one and a ball of light appeared in the middle of the room.

"Navi...did you hear that! Father is a Dragon!"

"How amusing," Navi squeaked ", is he all right?"

"Yes, so far. He's only had to fight one battle." Aven said worriedly.

"He'll be fine, you haven't seen him fight like I have." Navi squeaked reassuringly. "Anyway, you'd better get to bed, and I'd better go! Nice seeing you, Aven."  And a flash of white light, Navi was gone and Aven was fast asleep.

Link woke up to Zelda shaking him.

"Whattimeisit?" Link murmured as he pulled his cap on.

"About five." Zelda hissed.

"Oh," Link yawned ", sorry about that."

After dressing, Link and Zelda went downstairs to say goodbye, pick ten soldiers to accompany them, and  go.

"But we don't want you to go." Sethyn pouted.

"Yeah, please stay." Saralyn begged, pulling on the hem of her mothers dress.

"Yeah! Pleaaase!" Syrius whined.

"They need to go, we can't stop them." Anvyna said sadly, the girl had a knack of knowledge.

"I agree with Avyna, she's, sadly, almost always right." Aven sighed as his hugged his father good-bye.

"Impa's going to watch over you guys while we are gone, okay!" Zelda yelled as she and Link left the Ball room.

"I hope they be okay." Aven whispered, Impa heard him and agreed.

"Zelda, are you sre it is not too late to send you back?" Link asked.

"Positive." Zelda replied sternly.

"Damnit." Link mutterd.

"I can't believe Star was sick!" Zelda sighed animiously.

"Danal is not so bad, is he?" Link asked, leaning over to kiss Zelda on the cheek.

A shreech filled the air, and a orange Dragon spiraled from the sky, swooped down and picked up a screaming guy.

CRACK

Then it dropped the lifeless flesh into the air, swooped down under it, and ate it.

Zelda pulled out her arrows and started firing at it. She was busy. Link jumped off Epona, spanked her rear, she took off as Link hid inside a little hole in the rock.

"GREEN DRAGON!" He yelped.

Green fire replaced his booted feet with a dark green paw with black claws. Green fire replaced his gauntled hands with the dark green paws and black claws. The dark green fire went up to his face, and at last replaced his handsome face with the dark green face.
Dragon face.

With an enormus burst of speed he knocked down a bit of the rock face, Link flew into the air.

The Dragon had killed another four of the gaurd, an arrow struck its neck, finally realizing where the arrows came from, it dived down to attack Zelda. Link shot through the air and threw his Dragon bodywieght agaisnt the other Dragon.

Zelda recoverd from her shock, as the green Dragon came to her rescue once agian.

Link bit his oppennets neck, hard, the other Dragon wrenched itself away from Link's deadly jaws and claws.

The orange Dragon dove and picked Zelda up with its mouth, it threw Zelda up in the air and was posistioned to swallow her when the green Dragon grabbed the queen gently.

"Hold on!" Link said in his deepest voice, he couldn't risk Zelda seeing who he really was.

"Huh!?" Zelda exclaimed as the green Dragon(Link, but she doesn't know that.) set her gently on her horse.

Link flew up into the air and slashed at his enemy, who dodged it and spurt a jet of fire at him, Link ducked, and shot of in between the Dragons legs, grabbing the right one as he did so and pulling it along, the letting it go.

The other Dragon was flying rather clumsily now, Link had injured it, it raised up its head and made the wirdest sound. Kinda like a 'woof', 'squeak' and a 'squeal.'

Link didn't hesiate to press his advantage and sped off towards the Dragon, it looked down as Link sent a line of flame into its face. The other Dragon did the wierd sound twice more as it spiraled into defeat.

Another orange Dragon flew into the scene, Link now understood, the wierd sound was a calling for help!

He ducked as the other Dragon sent a little bit of flame his way.

Link slashed at its underbelly, the Dragon dodged it and whipped its tail around, Link ducked and realized he had miscalcuated as the Dragon kicked Link in the stomach with his clawed foot.

Link stayed into the air, he had to be carefull aroud here know.

The other Dragon sent a spurt of flame right over Links head, Link, ignoring the pain, sped foreward and slashed at his oppennets legs.

The orange Dragon roared in pain, Link flew up and clamped his jaws around his oppennets neck.

Finally the orange Dragon pulled itself out of Link's jaws.

"Dammit." Link mutterd to himself as he flew around the Dragon.

Then he swooped low enough and slashed at his oppennets wings, it worked!

Another spurt of flame was sent towards Link, he dodged it easily.

The orange Dragon tried hard to stay airborne, kicking its legs vianly, wanting to live. It finally gave up as it realized defeat as it realized that it was falling downward, not flying upward.

Link let out a little roar of victory, when another Dragon flew into the scene.

He stayed on the spot, looking at the Dragon speeding towards him, Link regained his composure and flew out of the way just in time.

The gray Dragon reved up and turned to face him.

Link knew there was no such thing as a grey Dragon, then what was this thing in front of him? A bunny?

It shot a blast of grey flame at him, Link ducked and could almost feel the flame scorch him.

"I've got a message to deliver!" the grey Dragon roared ", and it is I'm going to kill you!"

The Dragon had a black and yellow ridge on its head.

Link ducked and sprayed the other Dragon with flame.

The grey Dragon flew away, chortling.

Link quickly flew out of sight and landed close to the campus.

He thought of himself in human form, he felt the familair green fire spread over him. He looked at his hands, thank god was a human agian!

He ran over to where the remaining five soldiers and Zelda stood, transfixed, staring at the sky.

Link copied them, at least ten minutes later, a soldier finally snapped out of it, and helped everyone else snap out of thier trances.

As they walked, harder to spot, and harder on all thier feet execpt Link's, Zelda and Link talked most the way up near the hole.

"That Dragon saved my life, Link," Zelda said suddenly, looking at her husband ", is there such a thing as a grey Dragon?"

"Not that I know of." Link said truthfully. "But of what I just fou-seen, I'd guess so."

"I wonder if..." Zelda said curiously ", actually, never mind."

"What, Zelda?" Link asked.

"Well, I think that---oh!" Zelda jumped back as a huge red rock landed right in front of her.

"Here, you guys, make sure this little lady doesn't follow me, this shouldn't be hard." Link said, gently shoving Zelda into the soldier's gaurd.

For a minute Zelda, as Link shoved her gently into the soldiers gaurd, replaced Link with the green Dragon. Same gentlness, same kindness.

Zelda shook her head as Link walked into the falling rubble.

Link weaved his way expertly through the cascading rocks, and then climbed the wall up to Darainia.

"Brother, about time you made it," the goron said, patting Link on the back.(Link was sure he felt a bruise form)

"No problem, where are these Dragons that plague you?" Link asked.

"Over there, they sent two messengers." Darainia said, motioning to the yellow Dragons over his shoulder.

"Darainia is trustworthy." Impa said from the great fairy fountain. "Even though he mustn't tell a soul."

Link nodded and said clearly ", GREEN DRAGON."

He felt the green fire spread from his feet to his head.

Link heard Darainia's gasp and ignored it.

He walked over to the Dragons and spoke in a slightly curtly way, the speaking took about ten minutes.

"They just want to be able to rule the snowslide." Link said, coming back to Darainia.

"Okay." Darainia mutterd, still taking in Link's Dragon appearence.

Link had soon got the message over the other two Dragons minds.

The two Dragons flew off as Link changed back into a human.

"Well, that was simple, wasn't it, Link?" Impa asked, smiling ", you might want to go before Zelda gets worried."

"Good idea, bye Dariania, bye Impa." Link said, he ran off the edge of the cliff and rolled on the ground, preventing injury.

"Link, you spend more time in that book than you do living." Zelda sighed, they had been home for about four hours.

"I know, but I need to find out about the so called grey Dragon." Link said, slightly harassed looking.

"Okay, I'll go wait for you, honey." Zelda said as she left the room.

Link nodded and stuck his nose back into the book.

'Grey Dragons, there are no such thing.

So called sightings of the grey Dragon, has actually been sightings of a shape shifter called Giermieanthen, Giermiean for short.

The Giermiean is a flesh eater, preferring its prey alive, a usal tradition is to throw the prey in the air and wait below to have the prey fall into the mouth.

The Giermiean usally takes the personality of its host, such as, if the person's job is farming, during battle, it might say; I'm going to plow you over!

The Giermiean usally travels alone, and thier main enemies are green Dragons.

Giermieans are usally male and feamle, once in a while, there will be an amphibious like transformation so that it can reproduce alone.

A Giermiean litter is usally 3-5 hiends.

Hiend- a Dragon, Giermiean, or Clawen baby.

It is extremly rare to have 1,2 0r 6 hiends, and once in two centuries, there will be one Giermiean that has 10 hiends.

This notion is backed up in Chapter123, pg12034.

The Giermiean is known to be anywhere from Grey to a Silver/Grey colour.

The host of the Giermiean usally, in past knowledge, takes advantage of thier powers, attacking not only Dragons, but Clawens and Siectherners.

The monster also can take form of a Dragon(that brings us to the so-called grey dragon), a Clawen, and a Siectherner.

A transformed Giermiean doesn't inherit the powers that the Dragon, Clawen, or Siectherner, have, the Giermiean keeps its powers itself. '

Link read, there was the next page on red Dragons, he'd read enough for tonight, he'd better head up to his room.

Link stowed the little book in his tunic pocket.

Link walked immeadiendly down to the libary, the next day, to review all the information he'd aqquired so far;

Fleshripper wanted Hyrule for himself. He mangaged to convince two tribes of Dragons to turn to his side, the leaders of these tribes were Leaderwing and Evielstrength. They killed many good Dragons, untill thought that the gold, silver and bronze ones were extinct...

The people slept through the Council of the Dragons, but awoke at thr clashing of Dragons overhead.

The others are unknown, only six of the twelve amulets have ever been earned.

The other six unkown amulets, as said before, have never been eared or found? ither way, only six are known in todays society

It turns out, that Dragons can usally sense if someone is untrusworthy, or evil.

Link re-read all of that, it was so simple, yet so complicated. He'd have to be carefull.

"Sire!"

Link turned around, it was Raine, Alamia's duaghter.

"Hello Raine," Link smiled ", is this telegram for me?"

"Yes, Sire." Raine nodded, she handed the message to Link.

Link read the message;

-Link, sorry to bother you, but the Dragons are attackng dodongo's cavern, and we have several gorons trapped inside!
Darainia.-

"Thanks Raine." Link said, pondoring the message, Darainia always called him 'Brother', and this wasn't Darainia's handwriting...

Raine nodded and turned to leave, she was at the door when Link spoke.

"Oh, and Raine, please call me Link." Link said, smiling.

"Yes Si-I mean Link." Raine said, blushing, then she left.

Link put his stuff together, he had to help Darainia...if he needed help.

"But, we only just got back!"

"I know, Zelda, I know." Link nodded.

"But-I coming with you!"

"No, Zelda, I'll be fine." Link smiled, thinking of his Dragonic powers.

"But- I mean-I-" Zelda splutterd.

"Zelda, no, you're not coming, you're watching over the kids." Link said sternly.

Link walked up Death Mountain Trail, an easier way compared to riding Epona up here again.

He re-read the message again.

Then he frowned and looked up, Dodongo's Cavern was right infront of him and not a Dragon in sight.

Link looked around, it didn't make sense...okay now it did!

A grey Dragon swooped down, trying to deliberatly kill him. Link ducked and knew what he was up agaisnt.

"GREEN DRAGON!" Link yelled, he didn't have time to go hide, and he was praying nobody was watching.

The green fire replaced his hands and feet with green paws and black claws, and replaced his face with his Dragon face.

Link lept into the air, the Giermiean looked a little shocked, then it  swooped down yet again, Link dodged and clawed at the Giermiean, catching its tail.

The Giermiean gave a roar of angry pain, and turned its black eyes to Link.

Link almost instantly replaced the Giermiean with Welbin, they had something in common....

The Giermiean saw its advange and pressed it, by flying downward immeadiently, Link snapped out of his trance and realized that the Giermiean had dissapeared.

The Giermiean flew up from behind and clawed Link in the shoulder. Link flinched as greenish blood trickled down his chest.

The Giermiean let out a roar of tiumph, Link sent a spurt of greenish flame to the monster, the Giermiean took the blow right in the chest, it let out a roar of pain.

Link swooped down to his enemy, clawing at its head, nay, his claws got lodged into its shoulder, Link pulled them out, as well as an unbelievable amount of flesh. Link shook his paws, trying to shake the flesh out, the Giermiean roared angirly.

The Giermiean bit Link's forearm, Link roared in anger.

Link spat fire into the Giermiean's face.

The Giermiean let go of his forearm, allright.

Link sent flame into the air, sending jets of it towards the Giermiean, who was snakingits way between the fire.

The Giermiean hissed, smoke coming out of its nostrils.

"You're getting the message? Or do I have to give you hate mail?" The Giermiean spat.

Link dodged a jet of grey flame, something about this Giermiean was familiar...

The Giermiean streaked downwards, then shot upwards, sending shots of fire around Link, who dodged them all.

"Go down, Dragon! You're message will get itself to you there!" The Giermiean jeered.

Something clicked in Link's mind.

<'The Giermiean usally takes the personality of its host, such as, if the person's job is farming, during battle, it might say; I'm going to plow you over! Or in this case, talk about being a messanger! It's Welbin!'> Link realized, stopping his attack.

Then, a jet of fire, not coloured, just fire, hit Link right in the stomach.

Then, he recoverd to see a net, fire-proof net, fly towards him.

Link knew he couldn't elude it, he was trapped.

The net flew over him and was drawn tight.

Link couldn't struggle as the net fell, and him in it, fell close to the hunter.

The hunter stalked over to the net.

Link realized who the hunter was, and with burning hate, realized that all this had been set up.

"Hello, Dragon." Welbin said, sneering, he pulled a lethal looking needle, about three feet long."This won't hurt a bit." Welbin said, getting closer.

Link struggled in the net, tried to breathe fire, but in vain, he was trapped.

Welbin got on his knee's and puntured Link's skin with the needle. Link roared in pain, and struggled for a few minutes before he went limp.

Zelda went sulkingly down into the libary, It had been almost two days since Link had gone.

He had spent most of his time in the libary, she saw Link's notes, and a little red book.

She sat down and read the bottom of Links notes.

'This notion is backed up in Chapter123, pg12034.

The Giermiean is known to be anywhere from Grey to a Silver/Grey colour.

A transformed Giermiean doesn't inherit the powers that the Dragon, Clawen, or Siectherner, have, the Giermiean keeps its powers itself.'

Zelda got sucked into reading all the notes, it was quite interesting.

It was only about five minutes later that Zelda finished reading the notes.

Why would Link take all these notes?

"Princess!" Alamia yelled, entering the room, Impa at her heels.

"What?" Zelda asked, praying that it was news of Link's arrival.

"Welbin caught a Dragon!" Alamia exclaimed ", and he has it in his basement at his house! He wants you come immeadiently!"

"A Dragon!" Zelda said, eyes wide.

"Yes." Impa said stiffly. She walked over to the table, read Link's notes, and read Darainia's letter. Then her eyes got wide.<'Oh shit.'> Impa thought <'I hope that Dragon Welbin has isn't who I think it is.'>

In a basement, in a house, in the Desert.

Link awoke, damn, he was still a Dragon, and he was chained up to a wall. Damn! Just his luck.

Welbin enterd the basement, he was laughing.

"You know, Dragon, I think I know your true idenity, huh, Link?" Welbin taunted.

Link growled, smoke issued from his Dragonic mouth, then, a ring of steel tightend around his neck.

Link choked for a few seconds, then, Welbin releashed a laugh.

Then Link recognized the laugh. Ranus.

"Ranus." Link growled.

"Maybe." Welbin chuckled, looking amused.

Welbin left Link to pondor his thoughts.

Zelda rode Star, who had recoverd in the past few days, Impa rode Eve, her horse, who was a brown mare with a black head.

They rode past Lon-Lon Ranch, where a curious Malon, and Dven(who, like Impa, was a little worried.)

They taked the gaurd at the brigde to letting them pass, saying that she got 1,000 rupees.

The bemused gaurd let them pass. Counting her rupees.

Zelda, Impa, Malon, and Dven rode up to the two story shack, Welbin was waiting outside.

"Nice to see you here." Welbin smirked as the four of them dismounted thier horses.

Impa nodded curtly.

"Yes, but where is the Dragon?" Zelda asked.

"What colour is it?" Asked Dven nervously.

"Calm down, you two." Malon sighed.

Welbin nodded and beckoned them to follow him.

He opend up the basement door and Malon, Zelda, Dven, and Impa walked in.

Impas and Dvens fears were confirmed, Link, or in Zelda's and Malon's eyes, the Dragon, was chained up agaisnt the wall.

"How did you do it?" asked Malon in wonder.

"Fire proof stretchable net, and Deku juice to paralyze him." Welbin smiled.

"Impressive, is it alive and awake?" Zelda asked, circling Link/Dragon.

"Yes."  Welbin smiled.

"Um, Green Dragon?" Zeda asked, Link/Dragon lifted his head. "Well, yeah, are you the Dragon that saved my life?"

The Dragon gave a curt nod.

"Well, why, I mean, why would you save my life?" Zelda asked curiously.

"It is the duty of the green Dragons to protect Hyrule and the Royal Family." the Dragon said, looking straight at Zelda, who had no idea she was talking to her husband.

"What? You mean, you're jobs to protect my country and the Royal Family?!" Zelda asked incrediously.

"Obiously, or why else did this Dragon save you twice, in about two minutes, the Dragon's true identy will be revealed. " Welbin said indifferently, an evil smirk crossing his face."Since I put the Deku juice in the tranquilizer."

Zelda looked shocked.

"You mean, that a person can transform into a Dragon?!" Zelda asked incrediously.

"Yes." Welbin smirked.

Then, it started to happen, green fire began at the Dragon's feet, burning away the Dragon flesh, revealing a pair of boots, then the wings and tail folded into the back of the Dragon. The Dragonic flesh burned away from the paw to reveal gauntlets, then it at last and least, burnt away the Dragonic flesh on the face, revealing a green cap and a familair mop of blonde hair.

Malon and Zelda gasped, Welbin smirked. Impa and Dven sighed.

Impa broke the silence.

"Damn Link, be more carefull next time." Impa sighed, walking up to him.

"I was fighting a blasted Giermiean." Link snarled, thankfull that he didn't see the usal tail of smoke issueing from his mouth.

"Mate, I am so happy that I'm not you." Dven sighed.

"You two knew!?" Malon exclaimed, finding her voice.

"Well yeah, I'm the one who told Link that he was a Dragon and Dven saw him transform." Impa smiled.

"Yeah, me, Aven, and Anvyna saw him transform," Dven began, pretending to be relishing a memory ", and then Impa made us all swear not to tell anyone."

"Link...how is it...it makes sense." Zelda croaked, finding her voice at last, and sitting on her knees by her husband.

"Yes, it does, doesn't it?" said Welbin from the shadows.

"Ran-" Link snarled, then the band of stell tightend around his neck.

"Welbin! Stop it! You're choking your king!" Malon yelled.

Impa realized what Link had been tying to say.

"Ranus!" Impa exclaimed.

Welbin stopped the magic, and Link was able to breathe again.

"You know..." Welbin said, looking at everyone, who was staring with unbelieving at him ", Belramn had been killed by me, before I started my mission, I played two roles."

Welbin's flesh flew off him, Zelda and Malon screamed, Impa, Link, and Dven shared looks of disguist.

The flesh morphed around in the air(I'll leave the grisly details to your imagenation) then the flesh placed itself on the body, Zelda cuaght sight of the familiar white blonde hair, same pale skin, Ranus.

"Yep, Me." Ranus jeered.

"You bastard! I will kill you now!" Dven snarled, pulling out his sword.

"No you won't." Ranus said almost lazily, he clenched his fist and the steel band around Link's throat tightend and Link choked. Dven threw his sword to the ground bitterly. "You're in my power." He said almost lazily.

"You jack-" Dven began savagly.

"Dven!" Malon exclaimed, cutting across her husbands ranting.

"Yes, and know you will all die!" Ranus crowed, preparing to use magic.

"Think again!" Impa yelled ", PURPLE DRAGON!"

Purple flame transformed her boots to a purple paw with black claws, her hands had the same transformation. Big purple bat-like wings and a tail burst from her back, her face transformed to a dragons face, a black and white ridge began on her forehead.

Everybody execpt Link and Ranus gasped. Ranus hissed angirly.

Impa slashed at the chains holding Link, Link stood up and rubbed his wrists.

Ranus snarled, everyone looked at him. Belramn was having a fit. His eyes bulged, he drooled foamy stuff onto the floor, then his eyes rolled back into his head. Then a greyish light enaminated from him and then a black light blinded everyone in the vincinity. A grey Dragon, a foaming, bulging eyes, rolled back eyed Giermiean stood before them.

"Impa! Get them out of here!" Link barked his orders.

But Malon and Zelda watched as Link balled up his fists, and shouted ", GREEN DRAGON!"

Zelda and Malon aslso watched green fire consume his feet, replacing his boots with a green paw with black claws, his hands transformed to green paws with black claws. The two big green bat like wings and tail burst from his back, his face, fully concentrated, was replaced with the face of the Dragon Zelda had interrogated earlier. A blue and black rigde began on his head and ended on his tail.

"Move! Get out before you get killed!" Link orderd, Impa nodded and began to herd the others, Ranus was looking between the two Dragons, Link or Impa?

He decided on Impa, who was forcing a screaming Zelda outside.

Link dove towards Ranus and bit him right and hard on the neck, not letting go.

Zelda screamed as Impa, in her Dragon form, forced her to her horse outside.

"He could die!" Zelda moaned, trying to see Link and Ranus's battle in the basement.

Impa's reply was drowned out by an explosion, and the four, Impa, Zelda, Dven, and Malon, that is, looked at the shak, it was gone, and in the air above it was two wrestling Dragons.

Link sent a spurt of flame at Ranus's stomach.

Ranus roared in anger and pain, then he swooped down low, and snatched up Zelda. Link stopped in mid-flight.

Impa, Malon, and Dven stood in suspense.

Then Ranus began flying away.

"Impa, Malon, Dven! Go to the castle!" Link commanded, taking off after Ranus and Zelda.

He didn't care or hear their reply, he was right on Ranus's tail.

Ranus, noticing that Link was right behind him, threw Zelda up in the air, hoping Link wouldn't make it in time.

Zelda screamed and then realized she wasn't falling.

"Hold on, Zelda!" Link told her as he sped after Ranus", that bastard's going to pay!"

Zelda obeyed willingly, holding on for dear life.

It took Link about two minutes to realize that Ranus had escaped.

"Dammit! Come back you bastard, you fucking-" Link swore "-assehole! You'll pay you jack ass-"

"Link!" Zelda said indignetly, she didn't know he knew some of those words.

"Sorry." He chuckled as he flew them back.

"Why didn't you tell me you were a...a..a.." Zelda began unbelievingly.

"A Dragon?" Link finished, chuckling ", becuase Impa made me swear not to."

"Impa?" Zelda asked curiously. Link nodded. "Is that why you didn't....well...you know." Link nodded again, Zelda didn't see his face, but she was absolutly sure it wore a look of stone.

"You deserve someone better," Link growled ", I can't believe I didn't see that eight years ago. I was too caught up in my own intentions."

"Link! Very few men are better than you, you're the best of the best!" Zelda exclaimed. "And you...would do that for me, you've risked your life innumberal times for me...you are as good as it gets."

Link nodded, Link hardly ever portrayed emotion, but Zelda knew that Link had been greatly cheered by this news.

They got home right at dusk, right on the balconey, Link changed back to a human, right after doing so, Zelda threw her arms around him and kissed him.

Link was a little akward for a second(Dammit! After eight years of being married, he akward kissing her!)-------------------then he kissed her back.

When they broke away, Link had a small smile on his face.

"Are you sure you want to risk it?" Link asked softly as they walked arm in arm to thier bed.

"Yes, though I was proper once," Zelda said, holding her head high and eyeing Link with a seductive look.

"Oh, I ruined you, what a shame." Link said softly yet again, caressing her face.

"Make me yours once again." Zelds begged him.

"Why milady?" Link asked, teasing her with suspense.

"Because you don't want me to go and get mad do you?" Zelda giggled, kissing Link's forehead.

"Really? Maybe I should, I wouldn't want a naughty princess like you to get mad." Link sighed.

"Really?" Zelda asked seductivly once more.

"Yes." Link replied, kissing her forehead, her nose, her lips.

"Why didn't you feel worthy of my love?" Zelda asked softly.

"Who'd want a Dragon as a lover?" Link retorted, holding her close.

"I would, ohh, Link..." Zelda smiled and kissed his face.

"I will protect you, human or not." Link promised her.

"Really?" Zelda asked, cradling him close  to her, as he kissed her on the lips again.

"Yes, I'll pretect you in life or death, human or Dragon..." Link whispered ", I love you with all my heart."

"Make me yours." Zelda whispered once more ", I love you."

"I will...right now...my love." Link replied, kissing her neck, her collar bone....

Aven stretched and yawned, he looked at the big clock on the wall.

8:00am.

He got out of bed and went over to his dresser to rummage for a clean white tunic, like all the Royal childern did.(Well, boys wore tunics, girls wore dresses.)

Aven dressed quickly and snuck over to his sister's room, Anvyna was out, waiting for him.

"Come on," Anvyna hissed, both of them snuck out to Vallyn's cottage, where Adien was waiting for them.

"Olah." Adien teased.

"Ah, young masters and mistress." Vallyn sighed, nodding to each in turn.

"Tell us a story! Please!" Adien begged.

"Are you sure the little lady wouldn't tell?" Vallyn asked, looking at Anvyna.

"No, Vallyn, she's as bad as you or I." Aven laughed.

"Good," that seemed to settle the old(fart) man.

"Okay! Comtinue with the one you began last time! Please!" Adien begged.

"Okay, okay, settle down now," Vallyn chuckled. "Well, once, your father," Vallyn began, he looked at Aven and Anvyna ", was in the Dismal Woods, he had saved Parlan, who hadn't helped him in return, well, later on, he was about to become Erong meat! Then," Vallyn chuckled ", your father, Shawn, Aidrian, Fresan, and Jennie, saved his life! That one for your father was one of the closest encounters he's ever had!"

The three A's roared with laughter, it was kinda funny, if you think about it.

"Whats so funny, you three, you're all hopless!" Vallyn sighed, the three started laughing hysterically now.

Vallyn sighed, shaking his head.

It took about ten minutes for the three childern to calm down.

"Sorry about that, but that was funny." Aven cried, wiping his tears of laughter off his face.

"Agreed." Adien laughed, shaking his head.

Anvyna was still trying to catch her breath ",I...never...knew...father had..got...into some of those...sticky...situations...that are soo funny!"

Link woke up and saw Zelda beside him, smiling in her sleep.

Link smiled and got up. He put on his clothes, and stretched.

He glanced at the clock.

8:30am.

Link shrugged and then heard Zelda stir.

"Hon, what time is it?" Zelda asked, murmuring.

"Eight thirty-one am." Link smiled, kissing her forehead.

"Well, I don't blame us for waking up late, we stayed up a little late last night, didn't we, honey?" Zelda smiled, getting dressed behind him.

"Yes...we did." Link smiled, kissing her forehead.

"You know, the kid'll want to know you are home." Zelda smiled, planting a kiss on Links lips.

"I know...I allready told you." Link teased.

"You silly!" Zelda exclaimed, picking up a pillo and throwing it at Link who caught it.

"You mustn't throw stuff at me," Link began, a fake serious look on his face ", I might get killed."

"Oh you wouldn't dare," Zelda laughed, throwing herself into Link's arms ",my knight in shining armour," Zelda smirked ", or my fire breathing Dragon."

Sethyn threw the ball at Saralyn who miscaught it and dropped it.

"Saralyn's it!" screamed Syrius from his side of the field.

"Darn it!" Saralyn sighed. She threw the ball at Sethyn, trying to get him back for getting her it.

"Miss me, miss me!" Sethyn chanted.

"I'm going to get you, dork!" Saralyn screamed.

Syrius was watching Saralyn chase Sethyn.

Then all of a sudden, Saralyn threw the ball over Sethyn's head and it hit Syrius's chest.

"Why you little!" Syrius snarled, chasing after his sisiter.

"Can't hit me!" Saralyn taunted as she ran off.

Syrius picked up the ball and dashed after her, Saralyn suddenly took a sharp turn back to Sethyn who was laughing his head off.

Then Syrius threw the ball in his face, Sethyn stopped laughing and started to chase after his sister and brother.

"So Link had been the Dragon all along?"

"It seems so, Tykami." Malon sighed ", I can't believe Impa let us tell you."

Malon, Zelda, Jennie, Tykami and Alamia were sitting in a parlor, eating little `Eclairs.

"Now I don't have a Dragon to dream slaying." Jennie pouted. It was well known that Jennie had hated turning in her sword and quitting the regiment, five years ago.

"You better not, or Zelda will releash her 'riegn of terror' on us." Alamia teased.

"Ha-ha." Zelda said sarcastically ", I'm going to kill you all!"

"Well, the only thing I'm worried about is that Ranus's going to use you, Zelda." Tykami said ", or your childern agaisnt Link."

"Good point," Jennie agreed, frowning ", thats what Gannondorf tried to do seven years ago, if I'm correct."

"You are correct," Alamia sighed ", becuase that's the day Adien was borne, remember, Tykami?"

"Yes." Tykami smiled.

"Yes, that was one of the wierdest days I ever lived." Malon sighed.

"Agreed," Zelda agreed, taking a bite out of an `Eclair.

"Well, it seems that Ranus wants revenge?" Alamia asked.

"Yeah, or is he after you again, Zelda?" Jennie asked, confused.

"Well, if Ranus's after Zelda, he'll be charboiled before he even see's her." Tykami said flatly.

"Literally, Link would make sure Ranus was ashes before he even seen you." Malon laughed.

"I know...I wonder if Ranus's close to us now?" Zelda asked them ", that would be freaky."

"Yes, tea?" Alamia asked, being a maid in the castle, she was accustomed to asking this question ", sugar or no sugar?"

"No sugar, please," Tykami nodded, for some reason, Tykami hated sugary tea.

"I'll take sugar." Malon nodded. "And Zelda will take sugar as well."

"No sugar, thank you," Jennie replied as Alamia poured her a glass.

" I can't believe it, all this time I was searching for the Dragon that saved me, and he was here, right with me." Zelda sighed.

"I can," Alamia chirped, taking a huge swig of her tea and biting an `Eclair in half ", I mean, everone has thier own secrets."

"Yeah," Jennie agreed, taking a bite out of her `Eclair ", I have many secrets."

"Okay, we get the point, but she meant," Malon took a drink of her tea ", that  something that big, that uncanny."

"I get the picture." Tykami nodded, grabbing another `Eclair ", I still can't believe that they managed to keep it quiet."

"I can. When Impa want's something secret, its a secret." Zelda said flatly.

"Wow, man I feel sorry for you, bud."

"Please, Aidrian, no sympathy." Link groaned.

"You should have heard what he said the first time he transformed. 'I get enough attention as it is'" Dven laughed, shaking his head.

"If that was any truer, Link would be king of the world."  Shawn laughed.

"Sorry, Link, I'm on Shawn's side this time!"  Fresan laughed.

"Ha-ha." Link said sarcastically.

"Ranus managed to escape, eh?" asked Shawn.

"Yep, and he almost made it off with Zelda too," Dven said.

"Man, I thought we were shot of him, once and for all." Aidrian mused.

"Well, I guess that we're not, I feel that someday," Fresan paused ", Link will have to kill him."

"Dammit, I'd like to see him do it." Aidrian said wistfully.

"Link, have you got that steel band off your neck yet?" Shawn asked.

"Nope, damn thing doesn't want to come off," Link began, pulling on it ", I haven't left the castle, I'd look like a prat wearing this around."

There was a pondoring silence that everybody tried to think how to get it off.

"I think only Ranus can remove it."  Dven said conversatinally.

"Me too." Fresan nodded ", I think that there's a keyhole somewhereon it."

"Here, bend your neck and I'll look." Dven offerd. Link obeyed ", yep, one right here!"

"Dammit, then its not coming off anytime soon." Aidrian sighed, looking at it.

"Unless we make a copy of  the key." Shawn said, brightening up as Link straightend up.

"The key we've never seen." Fresan reminded him.

"Good point." Shawn said ", we've never even seen the blasted thing!"

"Damn Shawn, calm down." Aidrian smiled as Link smirked across from him at Shawn.

Shawn shut up, though he looked like he had more to say.

"Hey, how long has it been since all this Dragon stuff began?" Dven sighed.

"Yeah, a year, five months, I dunno, three months?" Fresan guesses.

"Nope, only about a month and a half." Link said, smirking ", you know I've been counting weeks."

"Link!"

Link turned, perplexed, and saw Impa running towards him.

"What, Impa?" Link asked.

"The Erongs! They've raided a carvavan heading to the Market place. No survivors." Impa panted.

"Damn, I'm not looking foreward to meeting with them again...." Link said, thinking of what had happend last time he was stuck there...

"I don't blame ya, mate." Dven sighed ", but you'll have the Dragon powers to your advantage.

"Here I'll accompany you." Shawn nodded, standing up.

"Me too." Aidrian said, standing up beside Shawn ", Shawn's not going anywhere without me."

"Then I'm going too." Fresan smiled, copying Shawn and Aidrain.

"You're not going anywhere," Dven told Link ", without me."

"Okay, you leave in the morning." Impa smiled as she left the libary.

"Link, please, you could get killed, please!"

"Zelda, I love you very much, but I have to go, or the Erongs will attack us next."

"But, Link, you can't  just leave so soon..."

"Zelda...I love you."

Goodbye's the next day were hurried and tearfull.

Alamia, Malon, Tykami, and Jennie had also tried to convince thier husbands to stay behind, no one had been sucessful.

Link and his friends, on thier horses, galloped to the Dismal Woods.

Link looked in disguist at the woods that he had entered, and the battle field where he had nearly become Erong meat.

Eww.

Epona took a tentive step foreward, then she broke into a trot, the other horses following her.

But the riders eyes were on the field.

The neauseating smell still remained, half broken shields, swords axes and other weapondry poked out of the ground and litterd the field. Bones stuck out of the earth, and stuck out at odd angles, a couple bones were out of the ground completly and yellowed with age. Armour litterd the battle field like every four feet.

Four cages litterd the clearing, one in the middle, one metal one over a fire pit, one by a river on the other side of the clearing, and the last one by a deep hole.

Shawn, Aidrian, and Fresan spied five poles near the edge of the clearing.

Then, the five of them found a pile of bones, the top ones white.

"They were here, all right." Dven muttered, trying not to retch.

"Yep," Aidrian said, the same expression on his face as Dven did ", they just left, too."

Aidrian shifted on his horse and looked around the battlefield.

"I see it." Fresan nodded ", it looks like they split up into two groups and..." Fresan's eyes followed the foot pints into the woods surrounding them.

There was a rustle in the woods nearby.

Link hadn't been paying attention, but now he was watching the woods around them.

"DUCK!" Link roared, they didn't need the telling twice, and a bunch of arrows met overhead.

Arrows litterd the ground beside the five friends.

"Slap the horses, make them go home!" Shawn yelled. Everyone obeyed, Epona took off in the front.

Erongs jumped out of the tree's and had thier bows trained on the friends, the combination of a body of a wolfos, talons for thier hands and feet, eagleike.

One of them, a paticulary ugly one, came out and pinched Links cheek.

"I know you, you're the king!" It exclaimed in mock surprise.

Link stood stiffly.

"My lord, My lord," the Erong said mockinly ", may I eat you, my lord?"

"Not that I plan of." Link snarled, the Erong stopped mocking him.

"Really? You know, I have the advantage here." the Erong motioned to the archers.

Link just looked at them, teeth clenched, he couldn't transform now, it'd be too risky.

The Erongs would freak out and fire at him and his friends, and Shawn, Aidrian, Fresan, or Dven might get hit.

"So, you either get eaten," the Erong motioned to him and his tribe ", drowned," he motioned to the river on thr other side of the clearing ", hung," the Erong motioned to a Hylain Sycamore ",buried alive," he motioned to a small cage and deep hole ",burnt," a metal cage above a fire pit ",  starved to death," a cage in the middle of the clearing ", decide?"

None of the choices sounded desirable at the least, all sounded very painfull.

"Eaten alive?" Aidrian asked, looking slightly grossed out.

"Yes." The Erong smirked, cascading Aidrian with its foul breath.

That left everyone pondering in the uncomfortable silence.

"Or you could decide overnight?" the Erong jeered, shoving rows of yellow, bloodstained, broken teeth.

"I think I'll take overnight choice." Shawn said quickly.

"I agree." Aidrian said, still looking at each of the choices.

"I going with Aidrian and Shawn." Fresan said immeadiently.

"Link? You?" Dven asked looking closely at Link.

Link was pondoring the choices, he was thinking quickly, and to his strengths.

"I'm doing to overnight." Link said, head held high.

"Then I'm taking the overnight choice as well." Dven said. Being Link's best friend he wanted to make sure Link was alive. Or Zelda would never forgive him.

"Good," the Erong looked at his fellows ", lead them to the cages!"

A couple grisly looking Erongs(which was saying something, all Erongs were grisly.) led the five friends to the cages.

(This song is by Cascada, 'Everytime We Touch' is not my song.)

I still here your voice when you sleep next to me

The moonlight illuminated Zelda, she walked away from her balconey to her bed.

I still feel your touch in my dreams
forgive me my weakness

Zelda eased underneath the covers.

But I don't know why

She slowly closed her eyes.

Without you it's hard to survive

Zelda closed her eyes, then they burst open.

Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling

Zelda saw the two of them dancing the first time they danced.

And everytime we kiss, I swear I could fly
Can't you feel my heart beat fast
I want this to last
need you by my side!

Zelda saw more memories, her and Link dancing, her and Link kissing, her and Link being together...

Your arms are my castle
your heart is my sky
they wipe away tears that I cry
the good and the bad times, we've been through them all
you made me right when I fall.

Zelda dreamed more of Link.

Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling
And everytime we kiss, I swear I could fly
can't you feel my heart beat so
I don't want you to go
need you in my life.

Zelda couldn't sleep, she had to go do something...read a bit more of that book Link had been reading.

She stalked down to the libary, ignoring the time and her sleepiness.

'Dragons, many kinds for one race, there are aproximatly 12 dragon species;
Red
Blue
Green
Purple
Yellow
Orange
Magenta
Black
White
Brown
Silver
Gold
Bronze.
Dragons are divided into four genre's, first the good Dragons consist of green, red, blue, and purple. The yellow, orange, and brown Dragons are evil. The Magenta, Black, and white are neutral. Silver, Gold, and Bronze Dragon are thought to be extint.

Each Dragon has its own abilites...
Red-fire.
Blue-water
Green-earth
Purple-time
Yellow-power
Orange-evil
Brown-darkness
Black-electricity
Magenta-love
White-ice
Silver-agilelty
Bronze-strength
Gold-leaders.

Dragons travel in tribes.

One gold one, two bronze and silver, four white, magenta, and black, three red, green, and blue, and about ten brown, yellow, and orange Dragons.

They killed many good Dragons, untill thought that the gold, silver and bronze ones were extinct...

The people slept through the Council of the Dragons, but awoke at thr clashing of Dragons overhead.

Each Dragon Species has its own job:

Red- gaurd the intrances to Hyrule, both pyshical and mental.
Blue-gaurd the sea's around Hyrule.
Green- guard Hyrule and its peopel.
Purple- gaurd the Triforce
Yellow-gaurd the evil realm
Orange-gaurds evil places
Magenta-gaurds good agaisnt evil.
Black-guards the King of Hyrule
White-gaurds the Skies of Hyrule.
Brown-guards the yellow and orange Dragons.
Silver-gaurds the Golden Dragon.
Gold-gaurds over Hyrule
Bronze-gaurds all Dragons below him.

Each Dragon also finds an amulet to represent it.

The other six unkown amulets, as said before, have never been eared or found? ither way, only six are known in todays society

It turns out, that Dragons can usally sense if someone is untrusworthy, or evil.

Jalain was rewarded 2,000 rupees for his pains.

Grey Dragons, there are no such thing.

A transformed Giermiean doesn't inherit the powers that the Dragon, Clawen, or Siectherner, have, the Giermiean keeps its powers itself.'

Link was sitting in between Dven and Fresan when a Erong came up to them.

"Has anyone decided?" It was the Erong from last night.

"Yes." Link said before any of his friends could utter a word. "Me."

His friends gave a noise of shock and surprise.

"Are you insane?" Fresan asked.

"What is it?" the Erong smirked.

"Hanging." Link said detirmitly.

"Are you crazy?" Aidrian hissed.

"Maybe." Link sighed.

The Erong nodded curtly and yanked Link out of the cage.

"Link! Zelda's not going to forgive me if you die!" Shawn yelled, looking desprate, Dven didn't say anything. He trusted Link completly.

"I know, I'll live." Link nodded.

The Erongs prepared the noose, two of them dragged Link up to the top of the Sycamore.

Then, they slipped the noose over his head and neck. Then, with unnessecary force, they shoved Link off the brance.

White stars appeared in fornt of Link's eyes as the noose held him tight. He couldn't breathe.

Link managed to choke out; "Green Dragon!"

He remained, suspended in the air when the green fire replaced his boots with the claws and paws, his hands had torso had the same fate. Two wings and a tail burst from his back and his hansome face was replaced by a green Dragon face. Finally.

Link used his wings to keep airborne, gulping in air like a vacuum. Then, Link turned his Dragon head around and sent flame to the rope.

Free again!

The Erongs were looking shocked indeed.

"I guess I have the advantage?" Link asked mildly.

"That would be correct." croaked the Erong.

Link grinned, revealing his sharp fangs, he could actually hear the Erongs guping.

"Set free my friends," Link growled, motioning with his needle sharp talons ", and then we'll talk about peace."

The Erongs nodded, one of them opened the cage that withheld the other four friends.

"Link! You were awesome!" Aidrian whooped when they walked away from the clearing, two hours later. Link was a human yet again.

"That was brilliant, you knew your advantage!" Fresan chitterd.

"I'd never thought of that, that was great!" Shawn childed.

Link and Dvens eyes met for a second, looking like they were going to laugh.

Dven trusted Link, he knew that Link would find a way to wriggle out of the dilimma.

Behind them, Shawn, Aidrian, and Fresan played out a little parable of which showed Link thrawting the Erong's plans.

Fresan was playing the four of them, Shawn was playing Link, and Aidrian took the part of the Erongs.

Fresan pretended to watch in horror as 'Link' hung and the 'Erongs' were laughing.

Then 'Link' said Green Dragon, then 'Link' sent 'fire' to the 'rope'.

The 'Erongs' gasped.

'Link'(Shawn) said ", Set free my friends," 'Link' motioned to Fresan ", and then we'll talk about peace."

The 'Erongs' set the 'friends' free, shaking with an unknowable fear.

Link and Dven roared with laughter.

"That wasn't so bad." Dven chortled, clutching his collarbone area of his neck.

"Uh-huh, I really believe that." Aidrian said sarcastically.

"You do?" Fresan asked in mock surprise ", really, how glamourus!"

Aidrian scowled. And Shawn laughed his wierd laugh.

"Stop it, you two." Shawn chuckled ", Oy! Look! The horses are waiting for us!"

"Good girl." Link said, rubbing Epona.

Epona nieghed, she didn't like the woods.

Link couldn't blame her, even if he'd just made a treaty with the Erongs.

Link mounted her and his friends did the same, then they took off, heading to thier seperate homes.

Zelda brooded, thinking of Link.

He and his friends had been gone for a week...

She shook her head, she'd refused to let her mind wander there.

Link was fine, just a little late.

A little late?

Damn, Zelda was starting to wander if Link was....

NO!

She couldn't even think of it, she couldn't break her heart without knowing.

She could almost feel his arms around her, his soft voice telling her he loves her...and more.

She closed the little red book she carried every where with her now.

Zelda couldn't read at a time like this, not when she was thinking of Link.

Zelda wanted to read that little book so desprately...oh so desprately, to find out more.

But she just couldn't, not now, not when she was dreaming of Link.

She wasn't a fool, then, the triplets entered the libary, argueing.

"Mother!"

"Mother, Sethyn stole my-"

"Mother, Saralyn's being a-"

"Mother, those two are annoying me!"

"Sethyn, Saralyn, apologize, Sethyn, give her rock back, Syrius, please escort them up to bed, mother has a head cold." Zelda ordered, voice kinda thick.

"Okay, mother." Syrius nodded, he and his fellow triplets left as Aven and Anvyna entered the room.

"Mother, are you all right?" Anvyna asked, sitting down softly by her mother.

"No, you two better get to bed." Zelda sighed, then she yawned. "Night, okay you two?" She ruffled up Avens hair as he passed.

"Mother, we need to ask you something?" Aven said, pausing in the doorway right next to Anvyna.

"What." Zelda asked, perplexed.

"Do you know father is a Dragon?" Anvyna asked, slowly, though she might regret it later.

"Yes, I found out recently, now off to bed with you two." Zelda sighed.

"Told you she knew," Aven told his sister as they walked out of earshot.

Zelda laughed inwardly at how the little conversation had went.

Link would have found that amusing, Zelda brooded, dreaming about him once more, Link would have been highly amused if he'd been there.

Zelda then felt a rush of cold night air, she looked over to the balconey, a familiar face, and smile...

"Liiink!" Zelda cried, throwing her arms around him, she felt something scaly. "Link, your wings..."

Link looked over his shoulder ", ohh, opps." A crackling sound and the wings folded themselves into Link's back.

"You doofus." Zelda giggled, kissing his lips.

"I know." Link smiled, holding her hand, and holding her close.

"You are hopless!" Zelda laughed as he kissed her again.

"In fact, I might have to make you calm down, you naughty..." Zelda laughed.

"Really?" Link asked, kissing her again.

"Lets go to our room...what say you?"Zelda asked sensually.

"I agree...my love." Link murmured as he nuzzled his face into her hair.

"May I walk you there?" Zelda asked, holding out her arm.

Link pretended to consider this very hard.

"I guess so, mylady." Link murmured, kissing her temple.

They walked together to thier room, enjoying each others touch.

About an hour later, laying in front of the a fire in the grate, Link had just made a fire in the grate, which of was burning merrily.

"You know, Link, for the longest time I didn't know if you were coming back." Zelda sighed.

"Sort of." Link smirked.

"What do you mean?" Zelda asked sternly.

Link just smiled.

"Link...." Zelda said anomiuosly.

"Well, we ran into trouble. Erong's didn't want to ally. And, well...."Link paused.

Zelda glared at him ",and?"

"Well, I nearly got hanged." Link sighed, decieding to tell the truth.

"Link!" Zelda exclaimed, sounding horrified.

"I know, I know." Link sighed, admitting defeat ", I transformed."

Zelda sat down on the little sofa that sat infont of the fireplace.

Link went over to the fireplace, added more wood, then he joined Zelda.

"You know, Link, at least you're alive." Zelda smiled, kissing him.

"I know." Link murmured, kissing her back.

"Hmm?" Zelda murmured the next morning.

"You awake?" Link asked softly, running his hand through her hair.

"Yes, I'm tired." Zelda yawned, sitting up.

"I don't blame you, we kinda stayed up last night." Link yawned, kissing her forehead.

"Link, where's my diary? I wrote in it again last night, before..." Zelda looked at Link, who quickly tried to look innocent "...wait a second! Liiink!"

"Ha-ha!" Link laughed, rolling off the bed and watching her closely, she was on the opposite side, looking at him with a mixture of anger and humour. "Firgured it out!"

"You are so dead!"

"Funny," Link said, an eyebrow raised ", you might of thought I wouldn't be breathing?"

"Liiink! Thats not funny," Zelda whined, though ruining the effect by letting out an unwilling giggle.

"Really," Link asked, a cocky smile on his face ", I thought I just heard a giggle?"

"Grrrr..." Zelda growled, she leaped across the bed to tackle Link. Link lept and grabbed her around the waist.

"Gotcha." Link said, acting his usal self ", Here's your book." Link dropped it right into her hand.

"You dork..." Zelda sighed, trying hard not to laugh.

"I know." Link said, an evil grin fitting its way onto his face.

"Link, Zelda."

"Impa?"

"Hiya."

Impa ignored Links playfullness...he was such a dork at times.

"Ranus is gathering strength. Be prepared, for he might strike at anytime." Impa said plaintitivly.

"You mean, Ranus is heading to US?" Zelda gasped.

"It seems so." Link snarled, tagging at the steel bar around his neck.

"Yes, that is why the lack of attack, in fact, why don't you train?" Impa looked at him sternly.

"Well...."

"Link, you don't want Ranus to get the childern do you?" Zelda asked, looking at him meaningfully.

"No, you're right, Impa. I'll go now." Link sighed, he got up from his chair and left.

"Zelda, you might want to read that little book on Dragons? It would be benifitting." Impa smiled.

"Well, maybe," Zelda sighed ", but I want to watch him, make sure he does all right." She added, motioning to the door, aka, meaning Link.

"Well, that would be less, well, benefitting, but it would allow you to keep an eye on him." Impa coprimised.

"I disagree. I think it would be benefitting and keep an eye on him." Zelda marched out of the room.

Impa looked confused for a minute.

<'Where did that come from?'> Impa thought as Zelda left.

Impa shrugged, probably...not again.

"I'll tell them only when I'm sure." Impa mused, then she followed Zelda.

Link walked in, after an hour of practice. He was sweating, and tired.

"Link, you did great!" Zelda exclaimed, she sounded kind of tired.

"Whats a matter?" Link asked curiously, bending over to look her in the face.

"I-I-I dunno." Zelda replied, confused, putting her hand to her head.

"You might be..." Link said slowly, taking her hands and smiling.

"Again." Zelda's eyes were wide.

"Probably." Link smiled.

"I-I dunno what to do? Maybe I'm not, and just not feeling well." Zelda mumbled.

Link just smiled.

"Impa."

Impa whipped around, pulling her dagger as she did so, then she lowered her gaurd when she saw who it was.

"Ahhh, Impa, it's nice to see you again, I daresay." The...whatever said. He had white skin, cold eyes, dark. His hair was a white reddish colour. As if the red had faded away, he had two sharp fangs poking out the side of his mouth.

"Oh, hi Komuko, I honestly can't say the same thing about you." Impa said nervously. Being in the presense of a vampire is none the less very uncomfortable.

"I've only came to warn you." Komuko sighed, fingering his long wierd coloured hair.

"Of what? All dangers I donot fear." Impa replied sagely.

"Impa, Impa, just like the day I left this humanity." Komuko said, mocking her.

"I'd rather not be a subject of such a mocking tone." Impa snarled, turning around, as much as she did not fear him, she'd rather not have the back of her neck exposed.

"Oh, poor Impa," Komuko taunted ", do you really detest me that much."

"Sometimes, what is the dammed warning you so desprately wanted to give me?" Impa growled.

"Oh, jus' that Asenthor noticed that someones time is running short." Komuko teased.

"Mine, right." Impa asked, well, more like stated.

"Presisley!" Komuko exclaimed, jumping down from his perch atop the bookshelf.

"Well, whatever, I got the message, go, Komuko!" Impa snapped.

"Well, well," he taunted ", I guess I'd better go! Goodnight, and hope you enjoy your last night!"

And with that Komuko dissapeared.

"Impa, are you all right?"

"I'm fine, Zelda."

"Impa, you look all sweaty and pale.."

"Zelda I-!!!"

Suddenly a burst of glass, and Ranus was there.

Zelda screamed.

"You..." Impa snarled, leaping off the sofa.

Ranus grinned, then he transformed, the usal, into, the Giermiean, aka grey Dragon.

"You! But-I-!" Zelda sputterd.

"Death will come swiftly." Ranus hissed, Zelda couldn't move. Impa jumped to him, dagger at hand.

Ranus swung his hidden hand, sword in it, right through Impa's stomach, Ranus yanked it out.

Zelda screamed and Impa grunted, Ranus just laughed.

Impa fell to her knee's, blood pouring from the wound.

Then she fell to the floor, wound and all.

"IMPA!" Zelda screamed, running toward her old nursemaid.

Impa was still in shock.

But to Zelda's surprise, she chuckled.

"I finally was beaten, I finally was...well...beaten..."Impa pulled a purple amulet on a gold chain from her neck "...take this."

Zelda gasped ", its a Dragon amulet! Impa, do you know what you're doing?"

Impa nodded, feebly, any minute she'd die ", live in a good way. Komuko! You were right, you son of a bitch!"

And then she was dead.

"Now, you, princess Zelda, I give a last chance...to be my wife or die.." Ranus said silkily.

"I'd rather die!" Zelda screamed, standing up.

"Really," Ranus sounded amused ", well, then-"

The door to the room went flying, and a green Dragon came soaring in.

"Get away from her, filfth!" Link spat, landing in front of Zelda and sending fire into Ranus's face. Ranus dodged it, not looking amused now.

"Thats it!" Ranus roared, he flew into the air.

Ranus dove to Link, Zelda darted out of the way.

Ranus hit Link with such a force, that Link and Ranus went flying and broke the glass behind them.

In midair, the residents of Hyrule Castle Town enjoyed yet another airborne fight.

Link bit Ranus's forearm, blood ozed from the cut. Ranus shook him off, though.

Ranus spat out flame at Link. The flame hit Link in the chest.

Link ignored the pain, he had to kill Ranus, he clawed Ranus hard in the neck.

Ranus roared in pain and bit Links neck. Link roared in anger and shook his arm, then Ranus went sprialing through the air.

Link slashed at Ranus in the stomach, a thin light claw mark.

Ranus was pissed off, he snapped at Link's neck again, Link ducked and Ranus bit midair.

Ranus snared, he wanted to win, he wanted to kill, he wanted blood.

"You can't win, Dragon." Ranus hissed, snapping at the air once more.

"Why are you calling me 'Dragon'? You know my name," Link taunted ", are you scared?"

"Why of course not! Why should I bow to you?" Ranus snarled ", you've always loved all the attention."

"I know I did," Link said sarcastically.

The battle was getting greusome.

Link tried to remember the Giermieans weakness....

'Grey Dragons, there are no such thing.'

<'Thats helpfull.'> Link thought scathingly.

'So called sightings of the grey Dragon, has actually been sightings of a shape shifter called Giermieanthen...'

<'Nope....'> Link dodged an attack from Ranus.

'The Giermiean is a flesh eater, preferring its prey alive, a usal tradition is to throw the prey in the air and wait below to have the prey fall into the mouth.'

<'That really raises my morale...'>

'The Giermiean usally takes the personality of its host, such as, if the person's job is farming, during battle, it might say; I'm going to plow you over!'

<'Dammit!'> Ranus had burnt him again, Link attacked in return.

'The Giermiean usally travels alone, and thier main enemies are green Dragons.

Giermieans are usally male and feamle, once in a while, there will be an amphibious like transformation so that it can reproduce alone.'

<'So fucking what!'>

'A Giermiean litter is usally 3-5 hiends.

Hiend- a Dragon, Giermiean, or Clawen baby.

It is extremly rare to have 1,2 0r 6 hiends, and once in two centuries, there will be one Giermiean that has 10 hiends.'

<'Yes! I mean, no.'> Link had just hit Ranus.

'This notion is backed up in Chapter123, pg12034.

The Giermiean is known to be anywhere from Grey to a Silver/Grey colour.

The host of the Giermiean usally, in past knowledge, takes advantage of thier powers, attacking not only Dragons, but Clawens and Siectherners.'

<'Boringgg! Ouch!'> Ranus had bit him, Link bit Ranus back, Ranus let go and sent a spurt of inferno at him, Link dodged it.

'The monster also can take form of a Dragon(that brings us to the so-called grey dragon), a Clawen, and a Siectherner.'

<'Nooo!'> Ranus had sunk his teeth into Links neck, Link tried to shake him off, this whole battle was pissing him off.

'A transformed Giermiean doesn't inherit the powers that the Dragon, Clawen, or Siectherner, have, the Giermiean keeps its powers itself.'

<'Yes! Score!'> Link thought, overjoyed.

Link knew what to do, Dragons had much agilty, and he was going to use it.

Link weaved his way up, then, came crashing down. Ranus had realized Link had dissapeared.

Then, Ranus understood his mistake as Link's tail smashed his back....he was defeated, and joining the dead.

"YES!" Zelda screamed from the window ", YES!"

Link flew back to her and landed. He turned back into a human, then, his kids, all five of them, came up and hugged thier parents.

Another battle had been won, but very narrowly.

"Zelda, wear that amulet Impa gave you," Link breathed ", it is a token of luck."

Zelda nodded and slipped it on, the amulet glowed purple for a second, then it returned back to the normal pendant.

"I will never fear again, I have a protector," Zelda whispered ", a Dragon Protector."

Hyrule celebrated the death of Ranus extravagantly, and happily. One less enemy to worry about.

Link celebrated vivaciously.

In two years he had another son and daughter;

Evellyn; 1 year old, and Kynnet; 2 years old by the time of...

The beginning of the Rise of Evil.

And the Vampires Curse.
