Chapter 9 - Nightmares

Tisso began the countdown, for 60 hours was almost up.

"Ten, nine, eight, seven&ldots;"

Link barged into the room. He pointed the mirror towards Zelda. Then they waited.

Zelda’s eyes began to open. She looked up. Then she said:

"What happened?"

"It’s a long story. Let’s just say Link saved your life." Tisso said.

"Oh! Link, whatever you did, thank you." Link grinned. But the happiness was over as soon as it started. Link crouched down holding his head.

Link drew his sword. His vision was red. Link saw Zelda, Cyrio, and Tisso. Their shaped slowly changed into moblins. Link charged at them and cut off one’s hand. He sliced off one’s arm and slashed at the other’s leg. They collapsed to the ground. Link saw some guards rush in. One shot an arrow at Link with deadly accuracy. The arrow pierced Link’s heart and he fell to the ground, dropping the mirror. It shattered into a million pieces.

Zelda, only scratched, got up. She crouched over Link. Her tears drooped down onto Link’s face, but in his condition, he couldn’t feel them. Zelda looked angrily up at the guards. The one who shot the arrow took an arrow from his quiver and slit his throat with it.

Cyrio got up. Hurt badly, he approached Zelda. He said:

"I may have a way to save him," Zelda’s hopes grew higher." But I can not awaken him. He will be alive though."

Cyrio used his magic, and cast a spell on Link. Then he said:

"Go check his pulse."

Zelda place her two front fingers on Link’s neck. Thump, thump, thump. She smiled. She did not need to say that he was alive, for Cyrio could see it on her face.

Zelda became worried. Cyrio was coming up with a plan, and things looked hopeless for Tisso. Zelda crouched down in front off Link. She grabbed his collar and began shaking him around, crying out:

"WAKE UP! WAKE UP!!"

She shook his head around. Then, Zelda slapped him a couple of times. But Link still would not wake up.
